If you’ve been following The Daily Show’s coverage of the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention, you know that the comedy show did plenty of mocking of the Republicans as well as the Democrats. But Chris Wallace chose one segment – and only part of that one segment – to highlight yesterday on Fox News Sunday. Guess who got mocked?
At the end of yesterday’s Fox News Sunday, Wallace said:
The political conventions featured stirring videos of the two presidential candidates. But we prefer this approach the folks at The Daily Show came up with, called Barack Obama: It Could Have Been Worse.
For copyright reasons, I did not include in my video below the portions of The Daily Show that Wallace played. So you’ll have to trust me that he didn’t play the portion of the clip segment that highlights how obstructive the Republicans have been and mocks Mitch McConnell.
By the way, as I previously posted, Stewart compared Fox News’ coverage of the RNC to the DNC with hilarious results. I’m sure he’ll get a good laugh out of this current “coverage,” too.
The first video below is of Wallace introducing "It Could Have Been Worse." The second one below is the complete Daily Show "it Could Have Been Worse" video.
It’s just like what I said after Stephen Colbert’s brilliant takedown of Fox’s DNC coverage: that the mindless sheeple wouldn’t be able to tell it was sarcasm . . .
