Not surprisingly, there was a good bit of State of the Union outrageousness on Fox News last week. But we also had some goodies about the war on women, an outrageous jab at Bill Clinton, an attempt to tie rising enrollments at University of Colorado to legalized marijuana and more. Get your voting fingers ready!
And the nominees are…
Fox News banner “just asking” about Bill Clinton: “PRESIDENT OR PREDATOR?”
Megyn Kelly seeking State of the Union analysis from... Meat Loaf – and proving that anyone can be a Fox News pundit so long as they're an Obama foe: “So what do you think of the State of the Union? Does anybody watch this, do you think?”
Alisyn Camerota, "just asking" about the upcoming State of the Union address: “So given this lack of confidence that the American people have, does it matter what the President says tonight?”
Bill O’Reilly “Tip of the Day”:
According to the Director of Admissions at the University of Colorado - Boulder, out-of-state applications for that university have risen as much as 30% this year. Now, why do you think that is?
Could it be legalized marijuana? (said in a sarcastic tone that implied the question was a no brainer)
So here’s the tip of the day: If you’re a parent shelling out a lot of money to send your kid to college? And that kid is pining for UC Boulder? (sic) Ask him or her why. In fact, put them on a lie detector. You do not – do not want to be paying more than $46,000 a year because your kid wants to smoke pot.
Michele Bachmann proving that if the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result then she really must be insane: “I just want to give the American people hope that there are members of Congress here that aren’t going to give up. We’re going to stay on the repeal (ObamaCare) train.”
Bill O’Reilly: The “war on women stuff is a political ruse.”
Brian Kilmeade on James O’Keefe’s latest video: “(T)he video comes out, thanks to James O’Keefe who did some surveillance work so the video is real the people are real, this actually happened so whether you liked the video or not the facts are that you are mocking somebody who happens to be your opponent, not you Wendy Davis but your opponent, the group who is supporting you is mocking your opponent...which is unbelievable.”
Tucker Carlson, calling the kettle black, when he said that critics of Mike Huckabee “Uncle Sugar” comments were “basically political operatives posing as talk show hosts.”
