Although Fox News describes Neil Cavuto's Your World as a daily "financial program," financial news was hard to find yesterday. Unless you count a segment about the IRS possibly seizing medical records. A rundown of the topics reveals a certain obsessive focus - and it's not financial.
Here are yesterday's topics. Do you see a pattern?
- Lawsuits starting to pile up over NSA snooping scandal
- Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) urging people to join him in a lawsuit against the Obama administration over NSA snooping
- New snooping lawsuit seeks $20 billion from government tech companies
- White House staying silent as “snooping” lawsuits against administration pile up
- Fox News contributor Scott Brown on impact of DC scandals on MA Senate race
- NSA whistleblower: “I’m neither traitor nor hero. I’m an American.” Four way debate to follow.
- House panel to probe IRS over alleged seizure of millions of medical records
It's not as if there wasn't any other news to discuss yesterday. A look at FoxNews.com yesterday afternoon found the following stories:
- The Travon Martin jury selection
- Nelson Mandela ‘responding better to treatment’
- Girl dying of cystic fibrosis receives lung transplant
- Al Qaeda linked fighters in Syria seek to change image through social outreach
- Turkey open to holding referendum to end protests
There was business news, too, supposedly Cavuto's forte and specialty:
- Dow swung in a 200-point range
- California on the brink, pension crisis about to get worse
Sure, the NSA and IRS are important issues. But couldn't Cavuto save some room for other news, too?
