Fox Nation’s Disgusting Reaction To Helen Thomas’ Death

Posted by Aria -15pc on July 21, 2013 · Flag

Three things are certain in life: death, taxes, and Fox Nation celebrating the death of someone they don’t agree with. This time, the victim is Helen Thomas who died, after a long spell of ill health, at age 92. Among the supposedly “civil and tolerant” comments Fox Nation claims to be committed to were people hoping that Thomas is burning in Hell, crude jokes about her becoming one of a jihadist’s 72 virgins, and a running meme of people saying “it’s about time.” Isn’t that just classy?

From the thread, Journalist Helen Thomas Dies at 92:

I’m looking for your repudiation of death threats against George Zimmerman. I dont see it, I therefore find your outrage to be selective and, should I say it?: faux.

Dan wrote: “Really? I can go on any left wing site that allows comments to stories and find the exact same thing.” Really? I’ve heard about those sites but haven’t found them yet. Please help me, will ya?

@joseph: I’m curious, too, but wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out it was someone who told the others to act like grown-up Christians instead of the “splutteringly-full-of-hatred” sort of christian (small “c” intended).

I can go on any left wing site that allows comments to stories and find the exact same thing.

The only right-winger I have ever seen leftists and moderates actually celebrate their passing was Andrew Breitbart, on Huffpo. And they wrote a response article telling those posters to grow up or learn to keep it to themselves:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brian-normoyle/liberals-celebrating-brei_b_1314992.html

Anyone else you can mention? Funny how they can’t provide screen grabs, or the person they link turns out to be a plant that works for a RW outlet. Oh, and sites like National Review actually wrote articles saying that the respect Democrats when they die is “little more than a feint.”

http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/258873/liberal-bouquets-dead-conservatives-jonah-goldberg

In other words, the right is so desperate to paint us as at their level or lower that even when we show respect, it must mean we’re actually dancing on their graves.

Fail, Dan… Fail.

Hmm, so will BOR (who doesn’t hesitate to call out left-leaning websites for the tacky/hateful comments left by their anonymous posters) have enough “fair & balanced” in him to directly call out his out own network’s website over this behavior? Well, being that he has never called out the FOX “news” websites despite numerous other times when the FOX “news”/FOX Nation moderators have allowed truly despicable comments to stand , I rather doubt it (especially given the fact that BOR himself has used the word “witch” to describe Thomas – and publicly refused to apologize for it). Will it be just another example of BOR’s double standards? We shall see. LOL!

Gee, Dan….maybe you could help us out with a few links showing comparable behavior from our side?
Pick any RW death that we gleefully celebrated……in a comparable manner.

Playing devil’s advocate here, what we have here are viewer comments (obviously revolting), not Fox “reporting” on Helen’s passing. But still, Fox’s Statement of Purpose (click on “claims to be committed”) is total bullish*t.

Okay, raise your hand if you’re surprised at the hateful ignorance of the Fox Nation cultists.
C’mon……a little higher!!!

I’m kind of curious to know what the content was in the response to that “sandytwinston” to merit “This comment has been deleted,” especially given the level of hate-filled bilious comments that are shown.

Ah the influence of Bellowing Billow, on Fox Nation. You must be very proud of the “Folks” eh Junior? On this weeks Factor, Maybe you can bring back Giggles Goldberg, and you and he can further insult Ms. Thomas again. Your audience will love it. How about it Junior? What say you?

IOKIYAR……Remember how incensed the rightwingnuts got if anyone said the teeniest non-laudatory comment when Andrew Breitbart died? Helen Thomas may not have been an angel. However she had earned the respect of her peers and 11 presidents, and was always fair in her reporting — Even when her writing was less than flattering.

By the way it really makes no difference what the Fox circus clowns and affiliates think or say we know they have no compassion, make no sense, and most of all have not one collective braincell between them

Helen was a fearless honest and outspoken woman who dared to ask questions that none of the other so-called jounalists would ask or were afraid to ask
I thought she was terrific and I hope she rests in peace. My condolances to her family and friends.

Helen Thomas was one of the few correspondents who openly challenged Dumbya’s war-of-choice in Iraq. Now ten years later, we have squandered blood (4500 American lives lost) and treasure ($2 Trillion), and left Iraq with a bloody civil war and a shattered economy.
Contrary to what the turds in the Fux Nation cesspool of hate would like to believe, we need more Helen Thomases and fewer Bildos, KKKlannitys, etc.

The following may help remind us why the right hated her so much, afterall how dare she be correct.

Once guaranteed a question at presidential news conferences, she was rarely called on by Bush.

On one of her few opportunities to question Bush, in 2006, Thomas asserted that he had wanted to invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam Hussein from the time he took office.

“Your decision to invade Iraq has caused the deaths of thousands of Americans and Iraqis, wounds of Americans and Iraqis for a lifetime,” she told the president. “Every reason given, publicly at least, has turned out not to be true. My question is, why did you really want to go to war?”

As Bush countered that the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, had recast the threat posed by “safe havens” such as Iraq, Thomas interrupted: “They didn’t do anything to you or to our country.”

Thomas took her profession to task in a 2006 book. After Sept. 11, reporters “were afraid to challenge the government, were afraid to be seen as un-American, unpatriotic, and as a consequence, they really let the country down,” she said in an August 2007 interview on CNN.

RIP Helen Thomas, we sure do need more like you today.
