Fox News didn't bother to fully cover the Democratic sit-in in the House of Representatives until midnight.
In the clip of the Fox News Alert, below, you can see the time stamp on the lower-left of the screen at about 28 seconds in, showing that it occurred at 8:31 PT, which is 11:31 ET. At the end of the alert, host Jackie Ibanez wound up her discussion with Fox's Chad Pergram and announced, "Now back to The O'Reilly Factor that's already in progress." On the upper left of the screen, you can see the time was 11:33 ET.
There were several more alerts like this throughout the evening. Fox finally went live at midnight. As I write this (12:45 ET), there has been an announcement that the House will go back in session shortly before 1 AM.
You can see that at 10:58 CT (11:58 ET), The O'Reilly Factor was still showing:
But at 12:00 AM, Ibaniez broke in.
And the news coverage has remained since then.
However, a screen grab of FoxNews.com just now speaks volumes, too, about the low priority "fair and balanced" fox gives this matter:
I keep telling myself to get one of those TV Begones.( remote controls.) just to screw with James Wadsworth the third.
All kidding aside, my [conservative] employer’s cafeteria plays FOX News all day long and when I went to lunch the first thing I caught was the sound of Ryan’s voice. Best not to show this stuff live, eh FOX? You need to digest it for the fanboys first.
According to a fact-check by Politifact, of a statement by our dear Laura Ingraham, over 85% of Americans would support an expansion/strengthening of background checks:

Aren’t politicans supposed to REPRESENT the people? Oh wait: lots of politicians – so many of them Republicans – rely on the NRA for campaign financing. By my book, the NRA is actually worse than Wall Street albeit only marginally. Well, let’s say “just as bad”, eh?
Anyway, these are embarrassing times.
