Fox & Friends Try, But Fail, To Get The Best Of Debbie Wasserman Schultz On Mitt Romney’s Job-Creating Record

Posted by Ellen -460.20pc on January 20, 2012 · Flag

If Debbie Wasserman Schultz’ appearance on Fox & Friends this morning is any indication of how an Obama vs. Romney campaign would go, it’s looking good for Obama! As DWS bonus points, she gets in quite a few good digs at Fox, too!

If you want someone to stand up to the inept bullying of Fox News, you’ve got to answer the question fast and strong—before they have a chance to interrupt. And you need someone on the left to talk without stuttering and saying “uh uh um er….” For some reason we keep tossing slow-talking hesitaters at Fox to argue our points. Wasserman this time, but Bob Bickel every day.

It’s time we found a fast-talking, from-the-hip Dem that hits back hard.

God, what a couple of fucking morons; Kilmeade especially. When you ask a question, you shut the fuck up and let it be answered.

Oh wait, that’s right…unless of course you don’t want the answer to be one that makes you, your question, and your entire network look like the bunch of fucking partisan idiots you are.

I’m not surprised by any of it. That Wasserman-Schultz showed her intelligence,or the Foxies showed their lack.

Personally,I think she has the right idea about dealing with thier nonsense. She basically laughs at them for their ignorance. It’s much better than getting riled up and blowing off at them, which they truly crave. It then reinforces their mem of the ‘unhinged’ liberal.

I do believe that the Foxies hate a calm, intelligent interviewee more than they hate America. And that’s a lot of hate.

Scott Orloff commented- “I’m waiting for the Foxnation headline: “Fox and Friends Obliterates DWS!!” – should be any minute now.”

Fux Murkins headline –
“Fox & Friends’ Epic Smack Down on Debbie Wasserman Schultz”

Daddy Douchebag and Brain need to practice on a Democrat with little intellect and no backbone. Wanker Pat Caddell for example.

No need to apologize,Robert. To be honest, I usually let loose a string of !^%^% after about ten minutes of Bill O, even earlier with F&F. Yet I think there is something more subtle and pernicious going on with Fox. Sometimes it is a look or a posture that aims to undercut an opponents seriousness, at other times it is in the order of information. The other day, for example, on a so-called straight fox news report, I hear, “Obama today rejected the keystone pipeline. Republicans responded with…” Instead of giving us Obama’s reasons for his action, they leave a blank and fill it in with the reason why it was bad. Or with Fox Nation, the pravda-like use of adjectives- whenever a liberal meets a conservative. the conservative invariably “schools,” “bashes,” “knocks down,” “shows up,” “exposes,” (etc) the liberal. How to show this style, dogmatic and oppressive as it is, in a way that gets the fox audience to see how they too are being reduced and scorned.

To W mace. While I agree with your thoughts on the Fox comments on this site, being a person who is guilty of that himself. But after spending an hour or two on Fox Nation trying to rationally explain other views not afforded them by their base and also being polite as possible, I sometimes come back into a reality based forum such as this and the build up of tension, however inappropriately as you point out, is released here. Sorry, and I will try to stop myself in the future.

I am not as happy others here with her performance. Unlike the last time was on this show, her speech was both more mechanical and less assured. Instead of opposing community organizer to ‘private sector businessman’ (exactly the kind of red meat that the foxites find delicious), she should have simply pointed out that 1. cutting corporate tax and regulations, something that Romany wants and has prospered on, has not helped the economy grow and has exacerbated social inequities and 2. that the question about Newt’s personal life is important as a gauge of his character and trustworthiness. She should also have challenged Kilmead on his puppetting of the Romeny line that 70% of the bankrupt companies that Bain dealt with came back successfully.

Yes, I know Fox is vile but why to people here need to keep repeating that fact? The point is to make our own analysis sharper and more damaging.

I just read this comment from The Huffington Post that I thought was funny. It’s from getoffmyside…

Debbie Wasserman-¬Schultz in a battle of wits against two unarmed opponents.

DWS mops the floor with Pinky and the Brain every time. While she is giving articulate answers and keeping her cool, they get more and more upset. They (and all of their cohorts in slime) never seem to get the message that she is never going to allow them to play by their rules. I love her snarky send off.

It’s so comical and predicable how they keep trying to cut her off and step on her replies when she’s asked question in order to quickly change the subject since she making valid points. How dare she tell the truth. The nerve of that woman. When it’s an R being questioned they never seem to have an issue with allowing them all the time they need.

John King of CNN did exactly the right thing last night by asking the question right at the beginning. How could he ignore it? When would be the right time Brain and Steve?

Oh and Brian, where did your mother and I go wrong? Your metaphor of using John Edwards as an example that the liberal media would never ask him about “his rumors” for a very simple reason…we didn’t know about it when he was the VP nominee in ’04 or when he ran for President in ’08. It wasn’t until after he dropped out that we learned what scumbag he was to his beautiful late wife, Elizabeth. I’m not defending Edwards, all his wounds are self-inflected, as are Newt’s, but at least get the timeline right.

It is already posted as an ‘Epic Smackdown". But this just in:
Fox GETS FOUR PINOCCHIO’S FOR CLAIMING (that part being added by me)“OBAMA’S FIRST AD GETS FOUR PINOCCHIO’S FROM Wa Po”
They are lying in the headline about lying, when the article itself says they are not giving it four but three. What a useless forum to try to get accurate information. The total willingness to not just mislead but flat out LIE when the facts are staring them in the face is uncomprehensible to me. But I am sure that they know their disciples have no intention on clicking the “follow rest of story” link cause actually reading what they are referring to would take time away from posting the mindless and uninformed trash about Obama, which is apparently their sole purpose in life. UnF@#kingBelievable.

This is what I’m talking about! Wasserman Schultz spanked these Fox “News” frauds, and made fools out of them. Masterful!

Schultz—“Please let me answer the question!”

This is how you deal with this Murdoch/Ailes puppets. Control the conservation and don’t let them bait you.
