Considering how much Fox loves the Benghazi "scandal," you'd think it would be big news that their latest "revelation," a supposed eyewitness featured in a 60 Minutes story late last month, has completely fallen apart. But while Fox can't stop demanding President Obama provide "accountability" for his broken promise about Americans being able to keep their health insurance, the "fair and balanced" network doesn't seem to feel the need to do the same over their own false information.
In a stunning development, CBS has retracted and apologized for an October 27 report on 60 Minutes that included supposedly new revelations from an eyewitness to the attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi. Media Matters has the timeline of the story's trainwreck.
Not surprisingly, Fox News ignored the questions about the witness' credibility and promoted them as part of their insatiable appetite for the Benghazi "scandal." In fact, Fox considers Benghazi such a big deal that the network interrupted a speech by President Obama to interview Republican Senator Lindsey Graham about Benghazi.
So you'd think the CBS retraction would be a big deal, right? I mean, Fox couldn't stop talking about it when Dan Rather's report about President Bush getting preferential treatment to get into the Texas Air National Guard fell apart.
But I've been watching Fox News for more than 90 minutes as I write this - and nada. I took a visit to FoxNews.com and while the CBS retraction is there, you have to look hard for it. In fact, I had to use my "find" tool to see it. A search of "Benghazi" on Fox Nation turned up no results.

If I didn't circle the story, in the middle of the FoxNews.com home page, do you think you'd find it?
