Fox News’ “business show,” Cavuto on Business spent the first 11:20 minutes today suggesting that the rise of ISIS is due to Godlessness and multiculturalism. Host Neil Cavuto kicked off the discussion with the “question,” “Is ISIS a crisis because we’re godless? …Is ISIS on a roll because increasingly secular societies have given God the heave?”
Panelist Ben Stein agreed. “Amen, amen, and amen,” he said.
Panelist Charles Payne also agreed. “I do believe the more we have pushed out God, the more the foundations of our country have crumbled. …We’ve shunned the idea of marriage, we’ve shunned the idea of children, we’ve shunned the idea of going to religious services. I think we’re going to pay a really heavy price for that.”
Later, Payne took a swipe at immigrants: “People who come here who have no intent of ever trying to assimilate ever removing the chip on their shoulder. …People in the past who came, they were happy.” He said we’re better off than Europe because we have more Christian immigrants.
Panelist Charles Gasparino piled on. “I think it’s beyond religion. …This sort of crap, that’s the best way to put it, multiculturalism. …When you celebrate your differences, you lead to Bosnia and Herzegovina and all the bad stuff that happens.”
Panelist Adam Lashinsky was the lone voice of dissent. He said, “In our country, you can believe whatever you like. …That’s one of our values. …We are still a melting pot country, we are still a nation of immigrants.”
But Gasparino insisted, “Multiculturalism is destroying the First Amendment.”
“Absolutely, absolutely,” Stein said.
Payne continued, “I just believe that the atheist movement has become so powerful, it controls so much of the media, so much of policy it frightens me so badly where this country is going to be.” He said we’ve “kicked God to the curb.”
