I must be a little dense about this furor. There are certainly times in the past when if I heard “I know you may not believe this, but as a friend, I think you will regret staking out that claim” I would interpret this as advice from a friend warning me of a possible mistake I’m about to make rather than a threat.
I could not resist watching part of Hannity tonight with Herman Cain’s debut…Herman is really drinking the Kool-Aid!
Just for fun, take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gudJgbvBnmo
at approximately 1:30. The whole argument about passing debt to our children and grandchildren was being said over 60 years ago…I’m the child or grandchild now…the conservatives need some new material…

I’m going to have to wean myself from Hannity – he is just too disturbing – he has already insured his legacy as a demagogue at the highest level. Along with Levin and Savage, maybe that will satisfy his ego. I feel sorry for his children though even they live in the “lap of luxury,” they must recognize his viciousness and pettiness. What does he say to his priest in confession re: “baring false witness.” Don’t other parents at kid’s hoity-toity tennis matches worry that he is there “packing?” I am in desperate need of a conservative spokesperson (a la William F. Buckley) who is intelligent, educated, logical, respectful in a debate, and willing to learn and compromise.
It appears that Hannity was a guest of StubHub (he tweeted a photo of himself wearing StubHub credentials). Not a box seat, but some pretty amazing sideline seats! Interestingly, StubHub was a major player in Hannity’s Freedom Concerts scam (see http://www.readarticlesonline.com/Art/448/10/Sean-Hannity-Freedom-Concert-Tickets-The-Top-Four-Freedoms-of-Hannity-s-Freedom-Concert.html). The Wikipedia article on StubHub also shows some interesting StubHub questionable practices (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stubhub#Controversies)
It is disturbing how Hannity et. al. have totally misrepresented the President’s comments! It is only asking members of Congress to think for themselves and not be swayed by fear of retribution by the likes of Fox and Limbaugh. The same has been said for the fear some legislators have appeared to have of Grover Norquist.
What is most disturbing in this clip is Hannity’s statement, “and for the past four years the Fox News Channel frankly has been the only media organization on this planet that has delivered fair and balanced coverage of his administration.” In all seriousness, is it truly possible that he believes this?

In the end, John McCain does maintain some integrity. He is also well aware of the baiting tricks used by Hannity et.al. and refuses to fall for them.
Someone should point out to Hannity (and his cronies) that paying higher taxes is one of the ways he might compensate for evading military service. How does he “earn” his “Great American” status?
I predict that we will see far more Holder vs. Malkin on Hannity (if Tamara is willing to tolerate it) since it adds to the entertainment factor (i.e., ratings) of the show. It appears that these two women truly dislike one another and Hannity’s demographic will enjoy a cat fight as much as they enjoy the WWF. By the way, what were the comments about Malkin’s poetry all about? I have not (and don’t expect to) read any of her books.
I’m surprised that Sean is favorable towards Condi Rice since his “good buddy” Dick Cheney has such a tumultuous relationship with her.
Why does anyone take Mark Levin seriously? He was obviously brought into the talk radio fold since (unlike many of the others) he has a college education. However, he is living proof of the the Einstein adage that “knowledge is inversely proportional to ego.” Remember that this is the guy who nominated Rush Limbaugh for the Nobel Peace Prize…
