Eric Bolling’s Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds

Posted by Headly Westerfield 122pc on January 31, 2012 · Flag

You’ve got to give it to Eric Bolling, he of the “Do as I say, not as I do” School of Fox “News” “Journalism.”  It takes massive cajones to criticize Bob Beckel for doing something he does himself on a regular basis, and does worse.  Furthermore, Bob Beckel was so lost in his righteous anger over Rep. Allen West’s recent comments (described by Ellen here, here and here), that he either didn’t catch Bolling in the hypocrisy, or just didn’t care to, even though it’s something he criticized Bolling for in the past.

It all began when Beckel took Rep. West’s suggested that he get the hell out of ‘Merka personally, even though the Florida representative was speaking about all Progressives in general.  Beckel rarely ever takes to Twitter, but because he sent out the following mid-Monday, it was a sure bet a segment of The Five was coming:

Ok i went 2 far on West he served with distinction but that doesn't excuse sick comment He pays no price?why do wingers say this & I can't?

While Dana Perino introduced the topic on The Five, she turned it right over to BoB Beckel.  Bob had built up a good head of steam excoriating West, before Bolling broke in with the rankest of rank hypocrisy:

EB: [3:25 in the first video] Can I just point something out?  You’re calling him Allen West.  Either call him Representative Allen West—

BB: I’m not going to call him representative anything!

EB: —or call him Lieutenant Colonel Allen West—

BB: I’m not going to call him that either.

EB: —because he was in the army—

BB: I don’t care!

EB: —a war hero.

If Beckel had his wits about him, he would have just reminded Bully Boy Bolling how many times he’s called the President of the United States of America “Obama,” or even specifically refered him to the January 10, 2012 edition of The Five where Bolling called the president “Barry.”  [Second video]  You called him on it that day, Bob.  How could you let Eric Bolling get away with that rank hypocrisy on Monday’s show?

@ Richard Peterson- I’d like to know if he’s double dipping out of the Federal public trough. Getting his Representatives salary and perks while still drawing the pension and bennies “retiring” at his rank and time in service entitles him to which he preserved by skipping out of the military one step ahead of the court martial which might have taken all that away from him. I’d also like to know how he did that. The wingers love this guy, but even his own nominal party thinks him a loose cannon bringing forth a redistricting plan which places West in a reliably majority Democratic district

If this is not a sandwich and a road map I don’t know what one is in the political world.

eric bullsh#t only consideres west a “war hero” because he’s very willing to smear President Obama and all libruls/democratics. Had west voiced any opinion against dumbya’s illegal wars, he wouldn’t be considered a “war hero” at all.

I wish I could meet pile of shit west on the street. I’d refer to him as pig west. He deserves nothing else.

Of course we can all remember very well when Fox always referred to John Kerry as a war hero during the 04 election….oh wait.

And yet these assholes are the sort, with which I am quite familiar, who would just as soon cut their own throats than call President Obama by his title, or anything other than “Obama,” unless it’s to emphasize the man’s middle name.

Disgusting, to say the very least.

Greg Gutfeld at 2.33: “I want to see more Allen West’s”
Excuse me Mr. Gutfeld but when you refer to a sitting member of congress or a millitary hero, would you please address him as “Representative West” or at least “Colonel West”. Thank you.

Allen West, military hero? His military conduct resulted in his leaving the military under a cloud. Allen West has been a government employee his whole life- Army career to teacher to military contract work to congressman. He has no idea what the words “entrepreneurial spirit” mean. He won his seat because he amassed a huge wad of money from far right supporters, not because he deserved to win. Money buys elections. His public meetings are screened so that only his rabid supporters can attend and respond raucously to his incendiary verbal diarrhea. Allen West is a sick joke, like so many of the far right fringe. I agree with Bob Beckel. West doesn’t deserve to be called “Representative” or “Colonel”. His hatred and divisiveness will not likely win him another term. Then what will the poor man do?

Perino looks like all the lying and goo-gobbling has aged her at least 25 years since ’08!

I like it when one American tells another what there supposed to say. Is Eric Bolling admitting a preference for authoritarianism? Mandatory speech? Freedom of expression isn’t allowed? I can’t call President Obama, “Obama”?
