Latest Fox Nation Target For Death Wishes: Bill Ayers
Fox News just happened to "run into" Bill Ayers - while they had a video camera and microphone at the ready - recently and the unremarkable exchange made it on to Fox Nation, the website that boasts about its dedication to tolerance and civil discourse. Yet once again, a slew of death wishes somehow escaped the moderators' notice. Screen grabs after the jump. (H/T Jim S.)

O’Reilly’s Defense Of Fox News To Jon Stewart Doesn’t Hold Up To Scrutiny
During his interview with Jon Stewart last night (2/3/10), Bill O’Reilly “proved” Fox News is not a GOP operation by claiming that John McCain would not come on The O’Reilly Factor. If Fox News were really a GOP machine, O’Reilly reasoned, McCain would have appeared on his show. O’Reilly also held up Dick Cheney, “Mr. Republican,” as an example of someone who would not come on his program. But O’Reilly neglected to point out that both McCain and Cheney appeared several times with Sean Hannity on his then-show, Hannity & Colmes. In fact, liberal Alan Colmes was shut out from the interviews, suggesting that the Fox powers that be did not want their important Republican guest to face questions that were too tough. Furthermore, McCain and Palin were scheduled to appear with O’Reilly about a week before the 2008 election but the interview was canceled by the O’Reilly people because of bad weather. McCain also appeared on O’Reilly at least once before securing the GOP nomination. With video.

ACORN Still Smeared With “Voter Fraud” In Fox Article
Guest Blogged by Nayef
Yesterday I found this article on Fox website, which concluded with, “"ACORN faced allegations of voter fraud during the 2008 presidential election . . . .” The article was reporting on an ACORN employee, Katherine Conway-Russell's, lawsuit against the “pimp” and “prostitute” (Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe) in civil court for illegally filming her. If you read the article, the last line sticks out like a sore thumb. It's like an article about Coca-Cola's, say, quarterly earnings, concluding with, “And by the way, drinking too much Coke causes cavities.” Overkill, anyone? But then again, on Fox, it seems no article is complete without a subtle or not-so-subtle swipe at the left, at President Obama, or at ACORN. However, as reported by the Drudge Report in December 2009, “The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) did not commit voter fraud, and it didn't misuse federal funding in the last five years, according to a recently released report prepared by the Congressional Research Service (CRS), a nonpartisan investigational arm of Congress.”

No Concern From Hannity As Palin Suggests More Passion Is The Key To Winning The War On Terror
The line between news, punditry and partisanship has become even more blurred on Fox News with the arrival of their latest “analyst,” Sarah Palin. Lest there be any doubts that Fox News is actively helping to groom and promote Sarah Palin’s political future, Sean Hannity’s three-part infomercial interview with her last night (1/14/10) should have laid them to rest for good. Besides the softball questions designed to showcase her “platform,” Palin candidly admitted she plans to “get out on the campaign trail” and “stump for candidates.” And in between her takes on national security, “the rules of war,” and the economy, Palin said that while she’s “not going to close any doors for my future,” she also plans “to do all that I can to help our country get back on the right track and that’s to get a message out there about solutions that I believe, and a whole lot of Americans believe, need to be plugged in.” Oh, and she also said that one of the specials she plans to do on Fox is about energy independence. Meanwhile, Hannity ignored Palin’s flip-flop on the bailouts, her discredited “death panel” claim and her ridiculous suggestion that more passion is the key to winning the war on terror. With video.

Hannity Guest Argues Palin "As Qualified," "More Serious," Than President Obama
Just when I thought that the Palin fawning could not get any more slobbering or less reality-based, a panel on Hannity last night (1/13/10) argued, in all sincerity, that Sarah Palin is articulate, “as qualified” and “more serious” than President Obama. With video.
