Art Laffer Lies About Stimulus - And Cavuto Lets Him
By Brian
On yesterday’s Cost of Freedom Special, guest Art Laffer falsely blamed the recession on the stimulus. Host Neil Cavuto failed to challenge him and remained approving of Laffer throughout.

Peter DeFazio Smacks Down Cavuto's Right-Wing Objections To A Stock Transfer Tax
By Brian
Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR) visited Your World on November 2, 2011 to discuss his endorsement of a tax on stock transfers. Cavuto, of course, was horrified and grew more agitated as DeFazio out-argued every right-wing talking point. At one point, DeFazio’s words literally echoed off the walls of Congress as he shouted, “WE NEED JOBS!” He went on to mock the right-wing argument that taxes will impede “job creators.” “Oh, The job creators are doing a great job, aren’t they?” DeFazio rhetorically asked. Cavuto had no answer.

Michele Bachmann’s Extremism Gets Warm Reception From Neil Cavuto
On Your World yesterday (11/3/11), Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann spoke about everyone having "skin in the game" when it comes to paying taxes. That was her justification for her stance on the Earned Income Tax Credit. She said "I would do away with the EITC. If a person has $3 in income, they would be subject to something." But according to Think Progress, the EITC kept 3 million children out of poverty last year. But that didn’t seem to matter to host Neil Cavuto. He said he understood that “there’s something to be said” for everyone having “skin in the game” but asked how she’d accomplish her goal.

The Five’s Eric Bolling Calls OWS Every Name In The Book, Then Defends Doug Schoen’s Phony Poll
Eric Bolling, Fox “News” Bully Boy and serial liar, took to the airwaves to smear the Occupy movement once again, although this time he eschewed wearing a tin foil hat. On yesterday’s show, and without pausing for breath, he called the OWS protesters, “Communist, Nazi, anti-Semites down here. Pot smoking, sex addicted morons, and you compare that to the Tea Party?” Clearly Kimberly Guilfoyle was amused because she laughed heartily at Bolling’s name-calling. However, Bob Beckel, who made the comparison, was not amused. He cried foul. Beckel has mentioned several times, on previous shows and in this segment, how he’s been forced to moderate his language when talking about Teabaggers because, as he has also explained, how angry it made his The Five co-hosts. They expressed their displeasure off the air and in commercial breaks. In fact, Beckel now calls them “The Tea People,” because of the severe browbeating he took. Yet, those same people feel that the Occupy movement can be described in almost sub-human terms and find it amusing.

Don’t Let Congress Vote For War Over Jobs
Our friends Robert Greenwald and Derrick Crowe, at Brave New Foundation’s War Costs campaign, have a new post and video demonstrating how military contractors are working to protect their profits from Congress’ Deficit Committee. Greenwald and Crowe noted that after a closed-door meeting with contractors, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta started singing their tune that cuts in military spending would cost jobs. In fact, the Political Economy Research Institute found in a 2009 study that military spending was the worst at creating jobs compared to government spending in the areas of health care, education and clean energy.
