Donald Trump: We Don’t Really Know Where Obama Comes From

Posted by Ellen -382.80pc on February 04, 2012 · Flag

Donald Trump revived his birther talk last night – egged on by Sean Hannity. On a Hannity show that was supposedly a forum for each of the Republican presidential candidates, Trump got the first half hour - while each of the participating candidates got just a few minutes in the second half of the show. It was as if even Hannity was acknowledging his lack of enthusiasm for the roster. And he made up for that with racially-tinged smears.

Leave it to white-rights enthusiast Hannity to nudge Trump into racial innuendo. Hannity gushed, “I think the most perceptive thing you ever said, and were willing to step out on a limb about, is when I last interviewed you and you said, ‘America does not know this man.’ The person that is presenting himself as this nice guy, if they knew the real Obama, what would America think?”

Trump took the cue and ran with it. “Well, he’s a much different people, person than people know and I have no doubt about that there are so many things that people don’t know about this man, where he comes from and…

Hannity interrupted to say, “You mean (where he comes from) philosophically.”

But Trump did not want to say that’s what he meant. And, frankly, it’s hard to believe that Hannity didn’t know that and wasn’t just covering his own derriere. Hannity has a very long record of cheering on Trump’s birtherism while pretending to distance himself from it.

Trump continued, “You can say the Manchurian candidate, I mean nobody knows anything about him: where he comes from, his education, how did he get into Columbia, if he had bad marks. How did he get into Harvard if he had bad marks? …There are so many things that people just don’t know. You go to Columbia and people don’t know who he is… We have a very strange situation going on.”

Well then, why didn’t Trump talk about what IS known about where Obama came from? It was Trump who boasted last April about an investigation he claimed to be conducting in Hawaii. He told the Today show, “I have people that actually have been studying (Obama’s birthplace) … And they cannot believe what they’re finding. And I’m serious—“

If Trump is really serious about these issues, why doesn’t he ever discuss the results of that investigation? And why doesn’t anyone on “fair and balanced,” “we report, you decide” Fox News ever ask?

Feel free to tweet Trump at @realDonaldTrump and ask (I do it just about every time I see him on TV). You can also email Hannity at Hannity@FoxNews.com or tweet him @SeanHannity.

You can tell by the trademarks on the back.

Ummm, T-Rump, YOU don’t really know where President Obama comes from. However, the rest of the world does. See what happens when you keep your head lodged up your own ass? I’ve warned you about this.

@Dave Wright: Sadly, I doubt that any of the mainstream media folks (like Brian Williams or Diane Sawyer) would be any harder on the Donald than the FoxNoise folks are.

OTOH, whatcha wanna bet that the Donald wouldn’t consider an invitation from Rachel Maddow because she WOULD tear him to shreds?

There was about as much an investigation as I am a virgin. Although my daughter says I really should get out more. ;0)

And the ridiculous Georgia birther case has been thrown out by the judge for obvious reasons, including the fact that they had no legal grounds and that the “case” presented by Orly Taitz and friends did not include any experts to know from what they were talking about.

Let’s see if the Birther bunch decides to discredit the judge now that he’s spoiled their fun…

Of course we know where Obama comes from. The dude is a freaking cyborg sent from the future to destroy America. And the Donald has a top investigative team on the case gathering mounds of evidence to prove it.

The circus clown act known as the GOP election campaign just gets better and better.

The tell-tale part that reveals that Trump is a fraud is you never see him talk to anybody but the cable entertainers. He doesn’t dare talk to a Brian Williams or a Diane Swayer because he knows he will get challenged on his wild statements. The Fox fans will accept anything he says as gospel so he just floats from show to show back and forth. It doesn’t appeal to the masses and he knows it. Barnum was right. There really is one born every minute,

Incompetent Bush political crony/right wing hack/not remotely ready for prime time AM talk show host Michael “Brownie” Brown has climbed aboard the latest insurgent birther bandwagon.
This evening he had a guest “legal expert” on his show (didn’t catch his name, don’t know/never heard of him before) on the topic.
The guy was beyond angry because he “knew” without a shadow of a doubt that Obama was an illegal alien fraud, and was frustrated that the president’s most prominent accusers weren’t able to make the truth be known (hey dude, if you want something done right…)
A couple minutes apart in the ten minute interview the guy proclaimed “Orly Taitz loves this country” and “God bless Orly”.
It’s these people who are the core element of the dumbass birthers, and it’s beyond hilarious that they have no clue why they’re not respected.

The nonsense about Obama’s history in Hawaii and in college has already been decisively and repeatedly debunked. Obama was born in Hawaii and thus is eligible to hold his office. He worked hard to study when he got to college and was known for this by his classmates and his college roommate, regardless of what Trump or a failed Libertarian candidate want to say about him.

The fact that they keep bringing this discredited material up speaks more about their own issues than about Obama.

It’s interesting that nobody asks Trump to answer what things his people couldn’t believe they were finding. Although the answer is clear – this was another case of Trump overselling his material. The more likely story is that there wasn’t anyone in Hawaii working for Trump, or they would have told him what everyone else already knows. Trump just wanted to make it sound like he had something secret, and once he was backed into a corner, he tried to double down rather than admit he was mistaken.
