Donald Trump ratcheted up his immigrant bashing from “rapists and drug dealers” to "ISIS members" while he was on Fox News last night. Sean Hannity, of course, was all ears.
Although Trump got two other segments besides this one, totalling almost a half hour of fawning air time, there was, predictably, no mention of the major air strikes against ISIS earlier in the day that Fox reported took out at least 250 fighters and at least 40 vehicles.
However, Hannity did gleefully cite a new Rasmussen poll showing Trump beating Hillary Clinton 43-39. He didn’t note that, as Real Clear Politics shows, every other poll finds Trump losing, including Fox News’ own poll. The RCP average has Clinton ahead by nearly 5 points.
Hannity also helped Trump lie to claim he didn’t attack Hillary Clinton’s faith.
And then there was this new (to me, anyway) dose of nativism:
TRUMP: You just look at [Obama’s] failure after failure. …Not only this country. Allowing thousands and thousands of people into our country who – many of these people are ISIS. I have no doubt about it. I used to say, well, maybe. Now I have no doubt about it.
Even by Trump’s own admission, he had no proof of such a thing. And that’s almost certainly because there is none. In a February, 2016 article called ISIS in America, The New York Times examined the 82 cases of people who have been accused by American officials of trying to help the Islamic State. It appears that all but one was either a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
Perhaps if Trump repeats this on another cable news show, a host will challenge him for evidence. Or maybe, because he knows no bigotry is likely to ever be called out by Hannity, Trump will only say this when he knows he’ll get away with it.
Watch it below, from the June 30 Hannity.
Does that include your wife — or your ex-wife, Drumpf?

If you go to Rasmussen’s site you will see a huge poll swing from last week where Hillary was leading Trump by basically the same amount. Huh?
Makes no sense until one ponders Rasmussen was slammed by FiveThirtyEight last election cycle as exhibiting “a considerable bias towards Republican candidates.” No shocker a subsidiary of theirs did FOX News’ polling. 👍
Of course, since The Donald says he “knows more about ISIS than the generals do” who am I to question? 😜
Could his comments about Mexican immigrants being murderers and rapists, and Muslim immigrants being members of ISIS be a warning sign that he is mentally unbalanced?
Should a visibly agitated, seemingly mentally unbalanced old man like Donald Trump, who may be suffering from dementia be permitted to wander aimlessly through the White House as a visitor, much less act as President?
