In case you had any notion that “civil” Fox Nation removed Ann Coulter’s “joke” about murdering Meghan McCain out of a concern for moral decency, then get a load of her appearance on Geraldo At Large Saturday night (4/13/13) in which she was asked to weigh in on the appropriateness of Anthony Weiner running for New York City mayor. And with her typical tact and sensitivity, Coulter went right for her next murder joke: comparing Weiner showing his “pecker” to Ted Kennedy having “killed a girl.” If you thought that host Geraldo Rivera found it tasteless or insensitive for the homicidal-humor loving Coulter to make such a joke – especially after the outcry over her last attempt at homicidal humor – think again.
Coulter – who also continues to get a pass on her penchant for voting in places she doesn’t actually live (otherwise known as “voter fraud”) - offered up her special brand of insight into Kennedy’s “Chappaquiddick” transgression and compared and contrasted it with Senator David Vitter’s prostitute scandal until Rivera asked for her thoughts about Mark Sanford.
Predictably, she and the other guest, Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway, went on to bash Weiner’s candidacy. What Weiner did was “just so creepy and embarrassing” Coulter said. She also complained, “He was really nasty about it when (the scandal) was coming out.” She ran her hand through her hair in showy compassion.
Well, if anyone would know about nastiness, it would be Coulter. Not only did she defend her joke about killing Meghan McCain as funny, she has a long history of joking about killing people: Rahm Emanuel, London rioters, Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens and Bill Clinton, to name a few. That is, when she’s not making jokes about people dealing with murdered loves ones, such as the 9/11 widows.
Believe me, if Ann Coulter was a liberal getting this kind of a pass on CNN or MSNBC, Fox would be caterwauling about media bias for days on end. Their hypocrisy and lack of principles when one of their own does wrong can be just stunning.
By the way, before this segment, Coulter was playing morality police over Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s trip to Cuba. Unfortunately, my DVD seems to have gotten corrupted. If I can rescue the video, I’ll post it for further proof of the Fox News hypocrisy.
Video below via Mediaite - which managed to completely miss the hypocrisy.
Coulter Sees Hope For Anthony Weiner's Comeback: Kennedy 'Killed A Girl,' Weiner Just Showed His 'Pecker'
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter compared disgraced former congressman and potential New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner to the late Ted Kennedy, Mark Sanford, and Nevada Senator David Vitter during a recent appearance on Geraldo At Large. A comeback by Weiner would not shock Coulter because it's happened to politicians that have done far worse.
Ever notice how its always the biggest chickenhawks who talk the loudest about killing people?
.
Or to put it in simpler terms- Celebrating death is something Fox Nation does. It doesn’t matter how bad they were, celebrating makes you Fox Nation.
I’ve been reading too many opinions (from supposedly progressive columnists) condemning the British people who openly rejoiced at Thatcher’s death but then these people would turn right around and determine there were some people (bin Laden’s name popped up with some frequency) deserved to have their deaths celebrated. Anyone who can be so callous regarding other human beings doesn’t deserve the least bit of sympathy.
