MSNBC’s Chris Hayes pulled off a neat twofer last week as he did a good job of both explaining the fundamentals of Obamacare and debunking Fox News’ ignorant spin on the subject.
As Raw Story noted:
Friday night (9/27/13) on “All In with Chris Hayes,” host Chris Hayes tried to demystify what the Affordable Care Act does and does not do and make it so simple that even a “dummy” or someone who works at “Fox and Friends” can understand it. In this instance, the hosts of “Fox and Friends,” he said, aren’t actually being disingenuous. They just don’t have any idea what they’re talking about.
Then, after exploding such Fox falsehoods as host Steve Doocy’s ridiculous claim that Obamacare will “blow up” the insurance industry (when, in fact, it provides millions of new customers), Hayes noted dryly:
Look, laws are big and often complicated and it is genuinely difficult to figure out the details. They’re confusing. And what might happen in the future is difficult to predict. But that’s what those of us in the news media are paid to do.
Well, except for the ones who are paid to promote Republican propgaganda.
