Other than Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders is just about the last person I’d expect to see on Fox News. But Sen. Sanders visited Special Report today to discuss bipartisan legislation designed to halt U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen.
While he was there, host Bret Baier asked some snarky questions about Democrats and 2020.
Watch Sanders field Baier’s spitballs below, from the December 12, 2018 Special Report.

Baier did get in a cheap shot about O’Rourke and he was pointedly noting that he doesn’t think the Democratic Party is in very good shape. Sanders had to correct Baier to note that the Dems just won 40 seats. If we followed the Fox News approach, we’d just think that they lost the midterms. Granted, they were nearly overwhelmed by the gerrymandering, but they managed to win some seats and get a small majority in one house. Hopefully the Dems have learned more lessons and will show up in much, much larger numbers in 2020.

In the past I’ve advocated Democrats to avoid Fox News interviews. In this case, I’ll reverse myself. In the era of Trump if you want to send him a message you go onto Trump TV and hope he’s watching. Odds are he is.
I’ll have to disagree Bret Baier was “snarky”. If anything, I was disappointed in Sander’s answer regarding the party changing. Nothing but a bunch of canned campaign talking points dodging the question.
