In a poll cited by Reuters' reporter Jeffrey Goldfarb, FOX News was chosen as the most trusted news source by 11% of 1,000 respondents. In the same poll, the BBC and CNN were cited as the most trusted globally.

Even the Fluff on Dayside is Biased

Yesterday (10/3) Dayside actually did some fair and balanced coverage of Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers (although it appeared that Huddy didn't know what she was talking about half the time, referring to Miers by stating "she's got some serious credentials" and "she's very well known"), and saved their bias for their fluff piece, "M & J", where they discuss "water-cooler" topics.

Bush Abandons "War on Terror" Slogan. Fox Will Too (Watch).

As recently as yesterday, Fox News began its reports from Iraq with a full-screen banner that read: "War on Terror." Fox has ignored the long-proven lack of a connection between Iraq, Saddam Hussein and 9/11. President Bush said Iraq was part of the "War on Terror," so that was that.

Tonight (July 26, 2005), the BBC is reporting that,

The Bush administration is abandoning the phrase 'war on terror' to better express the fight against al-Qaeda and other groups as an ideological struggle as much as a military mission.

I predict the "War on Terror" banner will disappear from Fox um, oh, Thursday at the latest.

He spoke truth to power and many in Britain, and around the world, are grateful to him for doing so.

Here is a link to the audio version of the interview. Listen to it. What Livingstone said needs to be said more often, by more people.

Another "Don't Forget to Hate France" Booster Shot

The lead segment today (November 16, 2004) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto was about something France's Jacques Chirac said about Tony Blair. During the several-minute segment, we never did find out precisely what Chirac said, but Cavuto and his two guests sure had a good ol' time slamming France and "old Europe" anyway.
