Have you noticed how often those short skirts and dresses on the female Fox News hosts hike up? Do you think it's just a coincidence how often that happens?
If you're wearing a short dress or a short skirt and you cross your legs, it's almost guaranteed to ride up.
I've collected some screen grabs of Outnumbered, which has four female cohosts, over the last several months. Check out how all the ladies seem to have their legs crossed at all times, thus exposing more thigh.
In the screen grab below, Meghan McCain, second from the right, in a red dress, is the exception to the rule. Her dress is long and she has her legs crossed demurely at the ankle. The wreaths on the window show that this screen grab came from a show around Christmas.
But in this grab, from January, 2016, Ms. McCain has now gotten right with the program.
It's not just Outnumbered.
Do you think someone tells these women to wear short skirts and cross their legs? Or do they just all think the same way?
I report, you decide.
That’s easy, they follow the path of Palin (who has not aged well at all). They tell these women to hit the bricks. (I accurately predicted that after the novelty of Palin wore out, and as she aged, Fox would take her off the air because then she simply sounded and looked like a nuttier-than-squirrel-sheet old bag.)
Sure puts the fear of the Lord in these ho cakes. Kimberly Guilfoyle is pushing 50. She knows the gig is up when Spanx, tanners, makeup, wires, wigs, and surgery can’t prevent her physical appearance matching her mental hideousness.
And Guilfoyle ordering the cameramen to keep the camera out of focus and not do closeups can work only so long. At some point the bosses are not going to allow aging female talent appear in the shot the size of postage stamps.
(E.g., ask any one of those women who are or were lawyers, such as Kimberly Guilfoyle, if their employer law firm would allow them to dress in that manner. No way that would happen, unless the firm does not mind losing major clients offended by the female lawyers looking like on-the-prowl for sugar daddies.)
Speaking of Kimberly Guilfoyle, she is the worst offender. When appearing on The Five she wears blouses to show max cleavage. Her skirts are always short. Her hair looks ridiculous, parted in the middle and ratted and spread out to the ends of her shoulders. And the worst, when on the show she insists sitting at the end of the table, this so the camera is dominated by her legs in the shot.
Side Note: Guilfoyle’s motive: To keep and maintain Neanderthal men as fans, those males who judge not on what she says, but instead on how she looks, which is like a desperate home-wrecking ho on the prowl at bars for successful men cheating on their wives, who will treat her like the (pavement) princess she is.
In regards to this being coincidence, of course it is not. FNC has bosses just like any broadcaster does. It is not coincidence that those bosses tell the talent to dress like as if going to a Friday happy hour to snag or trap a man to wed.
I guess it could be coincidence that no other broadcaster allows their female talent to dress like it is New Years Eve, and those who do dress like flirty high schoolers just happen to have ended up employed at Fox.

Some mentioned makeup. While it’s not true of all of the Barbie dolls reading Fox News teleprompters, some slather on the makeup with a putty knife to mask the flaws and try to keep up with the Barbies. A classic case is Kimberly Guilfoyle. I know I’ll be written off as a hater but most circus clowns have subtler makeup jobs. 😵
It’s common knowledge Ailes put out a (short & tight?) dress directive for the ladies but I wonder if he picks out the Barbies himself because so many of them look so much alike?
Yes, beautiful women can be smart. Yes, TV is a visual medium. But my favorite news source, PBS, picks reporters and anchors for their talent and experience first. Not much eye candy there but their news leaves Fox eating its dust trail.
If Roger and his audience want a thrill up their geriatric 3rd leg, take some Viagra and visit Pornhub. 👍
It is embarrassing watching with my children who we have taught to dress MODESTLY.
You would think a conservative cable channel would dress their lady commentators more respectfully!
Of these FOX “news” women, only McCain is sitting proper (as in what is officially considered “proper” with regards to women’s public etiquette in a dress/skirt). Maybe they no longer teach today’s girls the proper way to sit in a dress/skirt. But all of these women on the curvy couch are of an age that they know very well that, when sitting in a dress/skirt, you keep your knees together and, if it’s more comfortable to do a leg cross, you do so at the ankle. While propriety (such as preventing up-skirt shots) is a good reason not to cross one’s legs at the knee, it is also advisable not to sit in that posture for extended periods of time because it can cause related physical problems for some people.
And, crossing their legs at the knees may reveal more than just up-skirt shots – it also reveals that the women may not have very strong inner thigh muscles. It takes good inner thigh muscle strength to sit the way McCain is for a very long time period without the knees coming apart. That’s another reason why the Physical Ed teacher used to have the girls in her class do lots of inner thigh exercises. :-)
Answer: yes.
The former is a directive from Rupie and Roger — the latter is due to them sharing the same (single) brain cell . . .
.
As for the men, I would note that in at least one shot a guy has his legs crossed. Many of the other shots are of men with their feet where you say, but they are leaning forward, which is hard for a man to do with legs crossed. More interesting is not the position of their feet, but that they get to lean forward, while the women don’t. But we all know that Fox News is selling its crap via “women in short skirts”. In fact, I don’t know any women who watch it, though I have met many men who do.
As a last point, and here I expect a shitstorm of protest, young women don’t wear short skirts as a simple fashion choice. They have every right to dress as they please, nor should they be harassed for that. But it isn’t a neutral choice. Especially in high school, wearing specific clothing performs many functions beyond the usual, and insecurities dictate fashion.
And, look at how the men in the pictures are seated. It’s so amazing how they’re all seated with their legs spread, having both feet flat on the floor. You’d think that at least one image would be captured of at least one man with his legs crossed. (I’m surprised that none of them are in classic “Al Bundy pose” with one hand down the front of their pants.)
