For those of you who don’t know, the FDA is lowering the age limit on Plan B to 15. President Obama said last week that, regardless of whatever moral reservations you may have about that, the scientific evidence indicates it won’t harm any girls that young and, therefore, the decision earned his backing. But, rather than just argue against it, Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros, asked whether President Obama will put his daughter, Malia, on birth control.
On her radio show, Tantaros said:
“So I’m just wondering, at 15 years old, is the Obama daughter, Malia, going to go on birth control? Are they gonna put her on birth control? Because he’s very concerned with contraceptives and pharmaceuticals that are going in the mouths of everybody else’s 15-year-old daughter. …President Obama is now the parent-in-chief. Kathleen Sebelius [Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services] is raising your kids. Joe Biden is raising your kids. Oh, not even, it doesn’t stop there. It’s not kids. They consider 15-year olds to be women.”
Well, isn’t that just classy? What’s even classier is that this is just the latest in a long line of attacks on Malia Obama by Fox Newsies. At the beginning of April, Sean Hannity and Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich attacked Malia Obama’s Spring Break vacation. The network also gave Rep Steve King a pass when he went after her, also over her spring break trip. And who could forget Glenn Beck’s disgusting 2010 “Daddy” skit in which “Malia” asked her father why he hates white people? Beck did it on his radio show but it was made while he was still a Fox News co-host.
