While many people are forced to make due on food stamps, Andrea Tantaros joked that she'd "look fabulous" if she lived on food stamps.
The discussion came about as a result of Newark Mayor Cory Booker's pledge to get by on the same $133 a month of food stamps that many of his constituents do. But to Tantaros, this was fodder for a self-aggrandizing joke - and one that just happened to suggest that poor people, especially people receiving government assistance, have it too easy - a common Fox News meme.
Here's a suggestion for Andrea. Why don't you go on that diet for a few months and then come back and tell us how fabulous you look and feel?

I’m all for Ms. Tarantos trying the “Food Stamp Diet Program” as advertised on Fox.
She should also try the programs that will strip her of her clothing, make-up and hair styling money while she is dieting.

Being skinnier won’t do a damn thing to make her look better. Aesthetically, she doesn’t have the bone structure to be much skinnier than she is now- maybe one size down, and that’s it.
In terms that matter… we’ve all seen how putrid she is on the inside, and if you’re not shallow, that does a lot to make your physical flaws shine.
