“Happening Now” Drops Pretense At Objectivity When James Rosen Reads Right Wing Tweets To Defend Limbaugh

Posted by Headly Westerfield 122pc on March 05, 2012 · Flag

The Fox “News” Channel is having an existential crisis, questioning everything it holds dear.  The Rush Limbaugh maelstrom continues to spiral out of control despite the non-apology apology issued by Limbaugh over the weekend.  More advertisers have dropped Limbaugh, some knowing full well he had already issued his non-apology; Peter Gabriel has demanded his music be removed from Rush’s show; at least one station has dropped his show entirely; and it’s creating a major, but amusing, distraction among the GOP presidential candidates, as they straddle the line between not appearing to condone Limbaugh’s unhinged attacks on Sandra Fluke and not offending the Ditto God.  This new and unfamiliar climate creates a massive problem for an entity like Fox “News” and every single one of its personalities.  If the previously untouchable Rush Limbaugh was forced to issue a non-apology apology—and even that didn’t staunched the bleeding!!!—then everybody at Fox “News” has to be wondering how safe they are.  Consequently, Fox “News” must do everything in its power to tamp this story down.  Case in point: Today James Rosen whitewashed the Limbaugh story on the supposedly objective “Happening Now,” part of Fox’s non-opinion block of shows.

One can’t really call this reporting.  Rosen read a quick paragraph that accurately summed up the Limbaugh contretemps, followed by a selective reading of Limbaugh’s non-apology.  Then, it got as surreal as Fox “News” ever gets when Rosen suddenly started reading tweets he had received on the air:

JR: Larry in Massachusetts then tweeted me QUOTE “Curious. A peek into Obama.  He calls Fluke but not the parents of the murdered border patrol agent.  Hmmm.”  Donna Dahl tweeted me, quote “I am not even going down the road of when can we expect the [sic] apologies from others…even tho I just did. lol.”  Then she added, [as Rosen added several words to her tweet in his reading] quote “Carbonite drops Rush, appalled at word slut, demands civility, but keeps ads w/ MSNBC host Ed Schultz who said Right Wing slut about conservative radio host Laura Ingraham.  Wow!”

Wait!  What?  Rosen reading Right Wing tweets on the air?  Really?  Is this is what passes for objective reporting on the Fox “News” Channel?  What possible reason is there to pimp these false equivalencies, unless it’s to soften the entire Limbaugh story and, as an added bonus, renew an unrelated animosity against President Obama?  Were there no tweets from the Left Rosen could have read to at least appear fair and balanced?  This is nothing more than the modern, new and improved, up-to-the-minute variation on the tried-and-true Fox “News” tactic of “some people say.”  Video [courtesy of Media Matters] below the jump.

It’s not just ignorant teabagger goddess palin and batshitcrazy bachmann who are quiet, Antoinette. Look at all the neocon bimbos who crapped their panties when Ed Shultz called ingraham a slut and Bill Maher called palin a twat. Not a single one of those neocon bimbos has condemned Lardass Limppig like they condemned Maher and Shultz. Why? Two reasons. 1.) Because they’re hypocrites. 2.) With Lardass gone, who will form their opinions for them?

I wish neocons would hold republicans/teabaggers/neocons up to the same high standards that they hold democrats/liberals.

We encourage all the masses to file complaints against any radio station that carry’s Rusty’s radio show. Call out ALL local sponsors of Rusty’s show. Hit him in the pocket.

The airwaves belongs to the public. We have the right to protest Rusty’s hate-filled words against women.

Princess Palin and Mad Housewife Bachmann are quiet. You would think these frauds would speak out against Rusty, but they are afraid of him. They are the type of broads who will tell a battered woman to stay with her abuser.

The masses needs to call out Palin and Bachmann as weak women.

@Kent Brockman: That’s almost an exact replay of the sequence of events after Glenda Beck spent two days attacking George Soros in Nov. 2010, after Soros made that $1 million donation to MMfA . . . and we all know what happened to Glenda, not long afterward.

Be afraid, Limpballs — be VERY afraid . . .

My favourite part of his “reporting” is when he says: “amid a SPADE of advertiser pullouts…..” – I think he meant to say “spate”, unless he was actually going for that vile term for African Americans…hmmmm.

1 – radio-hate-hack brutally attacks woman
2 – advertisers drop radio-hate-hack
3 – radio-hate-hack continues to brutally attack woman
4 – advertisers continue to drop radio-hate-hack

That looks right.

Ed Schultz called skank lara ingrham a slut one time on his show and then sincerely apologized the next day on the air, personally called ingraham and apologized, then accepted his 1 week non-paid suspension.

For 4 days, Lardass Limppig calls Ms. Fluke a slut and a prostitute, then demands that she post videos of herself having sex, lies and accuses her of wanting the government to pay for her birth control, claims that her parents are ashamed of her, accuses all Georgetown Univ. female students of being whores…THEN Lardass Limppig gives an insincere non-apology apology.

And only in neoconnuttia are the two incidents the same. neocons are the most stupid, ignorant assholes on earth.
