Jon Scott was a picture yesterday of just the kind of media bias he complains about in others as host of Fox News Watch when, during Happening Now, he hosted a Republican operative, disingenuously introduced him as a spokesman for the last four U.N. Ambassadors, and then prodded him into attacking the Obama administration over what's happening in Egypt.

Birther Boy Donald Trump is not just a national embarrassment but has become one to his family, too, if the New York Daily News is to be believed. According to the paper, Trump's three eldest got together and performed an intervention on their father's attacks on President Obama. 

For Roger Ailes, Fr. Jonathan Morris is the total package. Not only does the cute little Catholic priest, the only clergyperson with a full time Fox News gig, pimp for the conservative Catholic bishops and the GOP; but he also promotes the message of evangelical Christianity. He provided his Fox imprimatur for Gov. Rick Perry's prayer rally. He promoted a website run by evangelicals. He spoke at an evangelical rally attended by various Christian homophobes and co-sponsored by his pal, James Robison, a Christian homophobe on whose TV program, Morris accepted Jesus. This morning, on his weekly Fox & Friends appearance, he not only defended what is considered an effort to proselytize public school students; but he also described those who are protesting this as "ignorant." He even tried to drum up business for a right wing Christian law group. As is customary on Fox & Friends, the segment omitted some key details. But hey, this is Fox & Friends, praise the lord and pass the propaganda!

What happens when a supposedly objective news host promotes a conspiracy theory that President Obama threatened to have Chelsea Clinton killed in order to protect his secret foreign birth? Nothing - if you're a Fox News host. Apparently, Heather Childers' tweet "just asking" for "thoughts" on the subject was no impediment to her hosting America Live yesterday, which airs from 1-3 PM ET, during what Fox News claims is its "objective" news lineup. And, as usual, being part of Fox's "objective" news lineup was no impediment to promoting the Republican viewpoint.

The report of Great Britain's official investigation into News Corporation's phone hacking will be released November 29th and will probably recommend some kind of outside oversight of the press to replace the current self-regulation. On the one hand, this raises concerns about censorship. On the other hand, self-regulation clearly did not handle the outrageous practices that went on at News Corp. Meanwhile, whatever happens to News Corp. across the pond, the media conglomerate is busy buying up U.S. properties and sticking its nose into U.S. politics.

While many people are forced to make due on food stamps, Andrea Tantaros joked that she'd "look fabulous" if she lived on food stamps.

In addition to being neither fair nor balanced, Fox News isn't truthful. A classic example of their lack of truthiness is their recent multi-pronged attack on George Soros who, in right wing circles, is up there with Hitler, Stalin, and Bin Laden. Since the departure of Glenn Beck and his anti-Soros paranoia, there hasn't been a lot of Soros hysteria until recently when Fox decided to go all in against Soros with their claim, on several Fox shows (news and opinion) and Fox Nation, that Soros is the nefarious force behind planned Wal-Mart walk outs and protests. But here's the thing - that's just not true. And while Fox Nation has corrected (without noting the correction) the record, the words spoken by Fox partisans still stand. But there will, I'm sure, be on-air corrections. Ya think?!

For anyone who still harbors any illusion whatsoever that Fox News is a network of fairness and balance, consider the video of host Stuart Varney giving Walmart spokesman David Tovar what may just be the most apologetic, fawning, borderline promotion of an interview in the network’s history. Immediately followed by a banner ad saying that the segment was brought to us by Walmart. Oversight or metaphorical middle finger to the company’s employees? You be the judge.

On The Five two days ago, Greg Gutfeld smeared George Soros and activists at MoveOn.org calling for a Wal-Mart strike on Friday. It was the kind of language that would have had the Fox Newsies up in arms if a liberal had said such a thing about a conservative.
