Fox’s John Roberts Hearts The Sequester
Fox’s “objective” John Roberts visited Fox & Friends Weekend yesterday morning for a peek at his upcoming Fox News special about the sequester last night. However, unless you were deeply interested in the Republican point of view, only, there seemed no point in watching beyond this five-minute segment. When Roberts wasn’t directly quoting Republicans, he was quoting and promoting their point of view.

Figures that Jesse Watters works for Bill O'Reilly. Both love the ladies and are fond of videos which maximize areas of the ladies body that aren't clothed. Both also lie - especially when it comes to people and places that Bill doesn't approve of. Such was the case with Watters recent video about Hawaii, a place loathed by Bill because of its diversity and liberal views. Watters, whose video featured scantily clad women and women whom Watters suspected of being prostitutes, told a lie, subsequently reinforced by O'Reilly, that Hawaii had the highest percentage of food stamp users in the US. Now that Gov. Jerry Brown has, allegedly, refused to go on The Factor, Watters was dispatched to California to reinforce Bill's meme that Brown is doing a bad job. As he did with his Hawaii opus, Watters found a "normal" person who validated the Bill/Jesse premise, "eccentric" types who support Brown, and a lovely, bikini clad woman who got lots of body time. And just as he did with Hawaii, Watters presented bogus facts about CA. Bill O'Reilly must be so proud of his boy!

Mitt and Ann Romney were the only guests on Fox News Sunday today. During a mostly lapdog interview, Wallace asked a few tough questions, including about those infamous “47%” remarks – which Romney said he regretted. And yet he did not apologize to anyone he may have offended. Even more telling, when asked about his remarks, shortly after the campaign, that President Obama won because he gave away “free stuff” to his “base coalition,” Romney replied, “ObamaCare was very attractive, particularly to those without health insurance.” Oh, and Romney also suggested he didn’t mean it when he said he’d turn down $10 in spending cuts if they included $1 in tax hikes
Read moreHoward Kurtz: Hannity Surrendered The High Ground When He Likened Ellison To KKK
Howard Kurtz gave what I thought was a pretty fair rundown of the now-famous confrontation between Sean Hannity and Congressman Keith Ellison. But he let Hannity off way too easy by saying he “surrendered the high ground” by likening Ellison to a black Ku Klux Klan member. Hannity didn’t just hit low, he deliberately ignored the facts, grabbed the ugliest mud he could find and got some like-minded friends to help sling it. More importantly, race baiting is an all-too-familiar Hannity tactic.

Bill O'Reilly's "Tip of the Day," is more than just a nightly nugget of Bill's sagacity that Bill, in his benevolence, shares for the education and edification of his "folks." It is also a platform from which Bill can scold his critics by presenting their criticism as, in the words of an SNL comedic character done by Bill's hated nemesis, Senator Al Franken, "stinking thinking." Last week, Bill interviewed the producers of the History Channel's "The Bible." Given that Bill once claimed that he was a creationist and said that "Judeo-Christian myth is not a myth," his comments to his guests were shocking. After they expressed belief in a literal interpretation of Genesis, he opined that the Bible is allegorical. (Talk about evolution!) Not surprisingly, he got blowback from bible literalists whom he took to task in a subsequent "Tip" segment during which he - ready for it - preached about not being judgmental. Looks like O'Reilly can give it - but he can't take it!
Read moreSantorum Resurfaces To Lament Sequester Cuts to the Military
Is Rick Santorum, booted-out Senator and failed would-be Republican candidate, applying to become a Fox pundit like Herman Cain? Judging by his performance On the Record Friday night, on the subject of the sequester, he should maybe consider applying to manage a pizzeria instead. He didn’t seem to know whether to mock President Obama for threatening a Y2K or a Mayan apocalypse, as some conservatives have, or threaten us with horrible consequences himself. He stressed how willing the Republicans had been to work with the President on some kind of solution (of course, they're all saying that now). And he lamented that “entitlements” were left untouched while “essential” programs like the military took deep cuts.
Read moreCavuto ‘Observes’ Sequester Results – Before They’ve Happened
Apparently, Neil Cavuto didn’t need an actual sequester to happen before he could tell us what he "saw." In a Cavuto on Business program that was taped yesterday, he told us all about the lack of problems from the sequester – even though today is the first full day of it and the first full workday is Monday. Those who predict otherwise, he declared, are "bit fat liars so far."

Neil Cavuto likened the White House to gangsters Thursday (2/28/13) for "threatening" Bob Woodward. He began by saying, “What I do know is that for the administration that has been terrifying us, well, the wheels have already come off.

On yesterday’s Your World, Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) and Neil Cavuto debated the sequester. Cavuto began by saying, “Rep. Rangel blamed Republicans for the sequester. ...Congressman, you know I love you dearly, but that sounds idiotic. But I’m not saying you’re idiotic… just blaming Republicans is idiotic.”
Read moreHannity Still Making Bogus, Unsubstantiated Racial Attacks On Keith Ellison
Sean Hannity’s widdle feewings must really have been smarting ever since Rep. Keith Ellison smacked him down as a yellow journalist the other night. So once again, Hannity got "revenge" by, essentially, proving Ellison right. You may recall that last night, Hannity “asked” if Ellison was the black equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan. Tonight, Hannity “wondered” if Ellison was a secret racist who hid his true feelings in order to get elected. Ironically, the very criteria Hannity used for his accusations – Ellison’s past associations - are far more damning of his own bigotry. Unlike Ellison, Hannity has never renounced any of the many bigots he has palled around with and in some cases still does.
