Fox & Friends Hosts Heavenly Round Tripper For Encore Appearance
In its role as the fair & balanced news media version of the 700 Club, Fox News never wastes an opportunity to show that if you're right with Jesus, miracles can happen. Back in June, Fox's morning bible show featured an entire week of testimony from good Christians who died, went to heaven, met Jesus, and came back to earth to spread the word. One of those celestial voyagers was Pastor Don Piper who told his tale to Ainsley Earhardt who was just fit to bursting about how awesome this was. And just in case you missed it the first time, Piper was back on this morning's Fox & Friends where he received warm, Fox Christian affirmation, praise Roger Ailes!

Congratulations to Mike Huckabee. His recent comments about Muslims emerging from mosques "like uncorked animals" was not just offensive but made him last week's winner of the Most Outrageous Quote Of The Week Poll.

On Wednesday’s Fox & Friends, the Curvy Couch Crew didn’t just disapprove of Judge Shira Scheindlin’s ruling that New York City’s stop and frisk program is unconstitutional, they seemed determined to frighten their viewers into thinking that they were about to be victims of violent crimes at any moment. Gretchen Carlson set the tone when she announced, “People in Chicago, now, well, they’re warning New York: expect bad stuff to start happening here as a result of not being able to do that.”

When it comes to the culture war, official Fox "news" anchor, Martha MacCallum is a very good soldier. She was horrified about the availability of emergency contraception because, she felt, it would mean that slutty teens could purchase the pill if they thought that they might be pregnant. That was a lie because the pill doesn't, as she suggested, cause abortions. And when it comes to anti-bullying school programs that include lessons on gender diversity, she was in full agreement with the head of the homophobic hate group, the Family Research Council, Tony Perkins that schools should focus on academics rather than "transgender lessons." Monday, she joined the Fox propaganda blast against the landmark CA law, aimed at protecting transgender students, by agreeing with FRC spokesperson and all around homophobe Peter Sprigg that this law will allow students to "change their identity" on a daily basis. As she did with Perkins, she opined that schools should focus on academics. And, in keeping with the popular Fox talking point, there was an abundance of bathroom references. (What is it with bathrooms and the Christian right???)

On Tuesday (8/13/13), Neil Cavuto spent the first 20 minutes of Your World interviewing “one of my favorite people,” hate monger Mark Levin. Cavuto was so serious during the interview it was as if he was speaking to a politician or a head of state. Even though it was pretty clear Cavuto disagreed with several of Levin’s extremist views.

O’Reilly Factor ambush producer Jesse Watters visited a Star Trek convention recently and aired his silly report on The Factor last night. But the one encounter that grabbed the most attention was a brief conversation with Star Trek actor LeVar Burton in which he said that Bill O’Reilly had been “patronizing” and acted like an “a**hole” during a recent interview in which they had discussed racial profiling and the George Zimmerman verdict.
Read moreHannity’s Plan To Blame Egypt Unrest On Obama Backfires
Sean Hannity’s attempt to blame President Obama for the problems in Egypt - and not so surreptitiously suggest Obama cares more about the welfare of Islamic extremists than Americans - went hilariously awry last night as even his conservative guest, Pat Buchanan, swatted it away as ridiculous and ignorant.
Read moreBill O'Reilly: Student Transgender Rights Bill Encourages Bad Bathroom Behavior!
As a conservative Catholic "traditionalist," Bill O'Reilly mourns the demise of a power structure in which women and minorities knew their place, gays were in the closet, and the whole concept of transgender was considered the work of Satan. As such, Bill's take on transgender issues is so bad that he has been cited by GLAAD (Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). So now that California has enacted legislation, which protects transgender students, O'Reilly has offered us his sagacious opinion about it. As I reported, both Greg Gutfeld and the happy hosts of Fox & Friends were obsessed about how kids will pretend to be transgender so they can sneak a peek in bathrooms for the opposite sex (yeah, watching people urinate is so sexy). So it's no surprise that O'Reilly, whose sexual fantasies involve sneaking into a woman's shower and grabbing her breasts from behind, would focus on the bathroom stuff. But it gets better. He even joked about how the law is awesome because straight guys can use it to get into girls' rest rooms which is what he would do if he is reincarnated as a CA public school student. Ewwwww!!!!!!!

Bill O’Reilly continued his attacks on African Americans – and pretending that it’s for their own good – by joining the Fox News war on Oprah Winfrey last night. Oh, he distanced himself from his colleagues by pretending to side with Oprah in saying she had the right to “express her feelings” about that now-infamous incident in Zurich, in which a sales clerk refused to show her a purse, that white Fox pundits have leapt to conclude Oprah misconstrued. Instead, O’Reilly suggested she was being irresponsible and, perhaps racially suspect (although he later denied that) in talking about what happened to her in the first place because the racial “grievance industry” will exploit it.

When you strip away the bible quotes, the real basis for the homophobia of the Christian right seems to be an obsession with the supposed "unnaturalness" of gay sex. And when it comes to the whole concept of transgender, the small and narrow minds of the Christian right get totally short circuited. This is shown by the collective freak-out, by usual "family values" suspects, about a new California law which protects transgender students. But forget about sex, the strange obsession here is all about bathrooms - an obsession that seems to suggest that these God fearing types have some rather supersized kinky boots. That these boots are made for walking was demonstrated, Tuesday, when the happy hosts of the "morning happy-talk show that "Ailes uses as one of his primary vehicles to inject his venom into the media bloodstream" talked about the California student transgender rights law with a focus on - wait for it - bathrooms - the same focus used by Greg Gutfeld last week. Talk about a bunch of pissants!
