It's a rare day, indeed, when a Fox & Friends guest is able to demolish the propaganda pimped by the Fox pals. And when it happens, it.is.just.so.sweet. Check out how Steve Doocy's guest took the Fox message - "liberal violence" at Trump rallies - and just tore it apart!
The scripted message for the piece is reflected in the title of last Wednesday's video: "Is it time for America to talk about leftist violence." (Right wing violence at Trump rallies, not so much!). Given that alleged "leftist violence" and otherwise rude behavior at Trump rallies was featured on other Fox segments, this Fox & Friends discussion was seemingly part of a Fox News propaganda theme, one that Steve Doocy was eager to promote on Wednesday's Fox & Friends.
The bias was apparent right from the jump with Doocy's first question which set the VERY IMPORTANT FOX MESSAGE (liberal are violent, conservatives are as sweet as pie): "Are you OK with this leftist violence." (Notice how he frames "leftist violence" as a FOX FACT.) His guest, civil rights lawyer Andell Brown shot back, “Calling it ‘leftist violence’ is just the right-wing putting labels on something and making people believe that’s all that it’s about." A disconcerted Steve insisted, "But they are leftists and they're violent."
Brown explained that those who protest at Trump rallies aren't necessarily leftists but folks who have a problem with Trump. He noted that Trump supporters have also been violent. To Doocy's dismay, Brown cited Trump's promise to pay the legal fees of those who beat up anti-Trump protesters. That's when Doocy pulled some statistics from his ass: “Ninety-nine percent of the violence is from the anti-Trump people, not from the Trump supporters. They were just there for the show." Brown admonished Doocy to "check your stats."
After reliable right wing partisan Mercedes Schlapp regurgitated some right wing partisan points, Brown criticized Trump for not discouraging violence. When Schlapp said that violence is unacceptable, Brown countered, "I wish Trump would say that."
Anyway, check it out. It is a true thing of beauty!
In “The Prime of Miss Jean Brody” , the flamboyant Jean is dead set against the politician running for PM on the slogan ‘Safety First’. Poor Jean thinks that politicians should be more like Benito Mussolini in that 1930s time frame.
Don’t be a poor Jean, ladies.
