Poor Bill O'Reilly, he just can't seem to accept the reality that today's Americans, particularly the youth, are drifting away from that old time religion. Last night, Bill lamented this trend which is behind Obama's anti-Christian policies and, worse, bullying of young Christians!
Bill presented stats which showed that Democrats are increasingly unaffiliated with organized religion. While he prefaced his commentary with the statement that people can be spiritual without being a member of any organized faith, he noted that "there is a growing secularism in the Democratic Party that I think is reflected in their positions."
Brian Kilmeade said that he spoke to three Democrats about this phenomenon and they told him that millennials are most concerned with pot and same sex marriage. They also told him that because "the structure is in the church," millennials "say no" to both structure and the church. Making sure to include THE VERY IMPORTANT FOX MEMES about PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS and EVIL ISLAM, Jesus BFF Kilmeade proffered his opinion that millennials see those evil Muslims slaughtering Christians and fighting each other and say that they don't "want any part of that."
Holy Spirit inspired O'Reilly quipped that religion can be blamed for problems but that he thinks "peer pressure" is responsible for the secularization of youth. He said that when he was in college, during the Vietnam War, he was "the only one in the chapel." He informed us that he would attend Mass regularly, unlike the other heathens who attended his school. (Wow, a saint, not a man!). He claimed that the peer pressure is such that if you are a Catholic, you are derided as an "idiot" (Hmmm, is that why Kilmeade is an idiot?) or "if you are an observant Jew, what's wrong with you." He pontificated that "this is what's on the street, this is what's happening."
Out of freaking nowhere, O'Reilly worked in this non-sequitor, "abortion is a big thing in the Democratic party, too." Working in the VERY IMPORTANT FOX MEME that OBAMA HATES NUNS, Kilmeade cited the case of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Working the VERY IMPORTANT FOX (and Catholic Bishops) MEME about THE EVIL ACA SLUT PILL CONTRACEPTIVE MANDATE Kilmeade alluded to how Fox fave Cardinal Dolan was upset when "the rug was pulled out from him by not getting the exemption from Obamacare and it ended up being the President who represents the next generation and the old school church that says 'I was duped'."
Monsignor O'Reilly preached "if you're a liberal person, secularism is in your wheel house, so it's harder to affiliate yourself." The rest of the segment was the pimping of Kilmeade's new book about the Barbary pirates which, based on the conversation, seems to be about how those evil Muslims were pursuing jihad even in Jefferson's day.
What O'Reilly didn't mention is that while 28% of Democrats are "unaffiliated" (up from 19%), 14% of Republicans are also unaffiliated (up from 10%).
Poor Bill O'Reilly...
“And this makes him the “expert” on how & when to send our troops into battle?? Sorry folks ~ I lost three of my closest friends in high school to that war & I have zero tolerance for these draft-dodgers who have “ultimate wisdom” on how to wage [and lose] wars.”
AMEN Anita! I also have ZERO TOLERANCE for WAR PROFITEERS (especially “Five Deferment Dick” Cheney) as well as perennial loudmouthed PFCs (Privileged Fascist Chickenhawks) like Rush Limpblob and Bully O’Lielly. Because his father William Sr. was a HIGHLY PAID oil company accountant who could naturally afford to invest his $$$$ in the stock market, it would NOT surprise me one damn bit if O’Lielly Sr. MADE A HUGE FINANCIAL KILLING during the Vietnam War.
Probably because he was too chicken-sh*t to serve his country! And this makes him the “expert” on how & when to send our troops into battle?? Sorry folks ~ I lost three of my closest friends in high school to that war & I have zero tolerance for these draft-dodgers who have “ultimate wisdom” on how to wage [and lose] wars. But, back to the subject ~ this devout religious hypocrite can do what he did to his wife & that’s ok just because he attends mass every Sunday? Guess confession clears his teensy-weensy mind. Thanx for letting me vent.
The masses should remind Billy of his lust for a woman who wasn’t his wife. We don’t blame his ex-wife for leaving him.
