Todd Starnes Crops Obama Quote To Advance Obama Hates Christians Meme

America's conservative Christians are always whining about how they get no respect But they don't seem to realize that shading the truth doesn't help their cause. Take for example, Jesus loving, homo hating, serial liar Todd Starnes whose recent tweet advanced the Christian right/Fox News meme that Pres. Obama hates Jesus!

Without providing any context, Starnes provided his twitter fans with some anti-Obama red meat. In a statement just oozing with a sense of self-righteous Christian victimhood and righteous Christian hatred of the president who, we know, is a secret Marxist Muslim in league with the nefarious forces of the gay agenda, Starnes scolded Obama.

Naturally his fans took the bait and ran with it.

But what Starnes fails to explain is that Obama made this comment during Tuesday's White House concert which featured top GOSPEL artists. The star studded lineup even included a Christian pastor, Shirley Caesar. During his commentary about the history of gospel music, Obama said the following:

"We don’t know everything about the origins of gospel, but we do know that this music is rooted in the spirituals sung by the  slaves, which W.E.B. Du Bois called “the most beautiful expression of human experience born this side of the seas.”

Even though they were often forbidden to read or write or even speak freely, slaves were permitted to sing.  Songs were where their dreams took flight, where they expressed faith and love, as well as pain and fear and unimaginable loss.  Songs were also how they conveyed information — the locations of safe houses for runaway slaves, or directions for a path towards freedom, buried in the coded language of divine lyrics.  They sang songs of liberation, if not for their bodies in this world, then for their souls in the next."

So even if the Jesus hating president didn't actually reference the name of Jesus, he acknowledged that gospel MUSIC was rooted in Christian faith - so, Jesus.

Nice try, Toddles - but, once again, fail!

I find it interesting that in the very same section of the Bible these people quote to condemn gays there is a COMMAND to STONE YOUR OWN CHILDREN IF THEY DISRESPECT YOU THEIR PARENTS!! Well?? If they feel they have to follow the Bible on the gay issue then how come we don’t see any rotten kids being stoned? We ALL know there are plenty of them around!! :-)

These vicious cafeteria Catholics at this fraudulent “news” outlet are anything but Christian.

Conservative masses are unaware of what they do behind the scenes. The backstabbing, envy, jealousy, tantrums, etc. Some of them would sell their own mamas to get their own shows, or replace a mouthpiece on his/her way out. It’s enough to drive the Second Floor to drink.

If Toddy was really a Christian-which we have troubling believing-he would distance himself from these clowns. He knows what goes on, but he is not man enough to call them out on Twitter.

Toddy and Franky Graham would befriend Satan if it meant face time on a national news network. False prophets.

Oops…..BO may not know the origins of the gospel but I bet he like most people capable of thinking, know the origins of the marketing scam known as pseudo-religious conservatism just not whether the almighty dollar was it’s mother or father.

We do know the origins of gospel, Mr. President. Way back in the old days, somewhere between Yemen and Turkey, the people played a game called ‘telephone’. One person told another person, that person told someone else, so on and so forth. After a few hundred years, the last person who heard the story wrote it all down exactly as told. And the gospel is truth.

Anything as complex as the gospels that can be explained in one word, isn’t really being explained.

should read: Toddles thinks God approves OF Christians lying…

But what about the 9th Commandment, Toddles – you know, thou shalt not bear false witness? Clipping the quote to deliberately leave out Obama’s context and his reference to their “souls” in the next world (which is clearly a reference to God/faith) is deceitful and dishonest. Apparently Toddles thinks God approves os Christians lying in order to attack a leader they disagree with?

Toddles’ decidedly unChristian behavior makes Jesus cry.

If the president had said: ""We don’t know everything about the origins of ROCK…", somewhere, somehow, Fox would have found a geologist to take offense.

Leave it to the “Christian” warriors of FOX to run with Turd’s pronouncement rather than (GASP!) get the facts.
