In what appears to be a real time example of the phrase, "don't bite the hand that feeds you," Tucker Carlson, editor-in-chief of the right wing Daily Caller, declares that he won't tolerate any criticism of Fox News by Daily Caller writers. Right wing brotherhood is powerful?
Politico reports that Mickey Kraus, a Daily Caller blogger, has quit his job after Carlson pulled a Kraus column which was critical of Fox News. Interestingly, Kraus criticized Fox for not being sufficiently right wing: "I wrote a piece attacking Fox for not being the opposition on immigration and amnesty, for filling up the airwaves with reports on ISIS and terrorism, and not fulfilling their responsibility of being the opposition on amnesty and immigration...." Kraus says that he posted the piece at 6:30 AM; but when I got up, Tucker had taken it down. He said, 'We can't trash Fox on the site. I work there'."
According to Kraus, Carlson was adamant that this rule is "hard and fast" and "non-negotiable." (So much for freedom of speech!) Kraus stated that Carlson "said it was a rule, and he wouldn't be able to change that rule. So I told him I quit," He added that "I just don't see how you can put out a publication with that kind of giant no-go area. It's not like we're owned by Joe's Muffler Shop, so we just can't write about Joe's Muffler shop."
Kraus asserted that "everybody is scared of Fox" because "Fox is their route to a high-profile public image and in some cases stardom. Just to be on a Fox show is a big deal. And I think that's a problem on the right, Fox's monopoly on star-making power."
Carlson told Politico that Kraus is a "great guy" and he is sorry to see him go.
But as reported on Media Matters, Tucker Carlson wasn't always enamored of Fox and Fox personalities such as Bill O'Reilly who, Tucker once opined, is a "thin-skinned blowhard" and humorless phony." So obviously, changes in latitude, changes in attitude?
And Fox as Tucker Carlson's route to stardom. ROFLMAO?!
“That’s not anything but dictator’s media, and they’re not even hiding it anymore.”
Which is EXACTLY the reason I call Rupert Murdoch “Herr Goebbels II” and his ever-faithful elephant-sized toady Jabba the Ailes (i.e. Roger Ailes) “Herr Goering II”.
Always remember: IF IT WALKS LIKE A NAZI, TALKS LIKE A NAZI, AND ACTS LIKE A NAZI……
’Nuff said.
Tucky is too afraid of losing his position with the Foxies. Mickey Kraus exposed Tucky as a self-serving clown who cares more about himself than his staff.
NOTE TO KRAUS
You are 6,000% correct. Conservatives rather be stars on Fox. That’s their ultimate goal in life. Stay clear from the Foxies. You are better than them.
That’s not anything but dictator’s media, and they’re not even hiding it anymore.
