Eric Bolling is a devout Catholic who describes himself "as Christian as they come." He is so full of faith that he lights devotional candles, every day, at St. Patrick's Cathedral. He is so full of faith that he once booted a guest from a Fox business show because the guest "denigrated the name of Jesus Christ." And he is so full of faith that he has no problem publicly denigrating Islam - which he did, again, on a recent segment of "The Five." Funny, I suspect that if the evil, librul media were seen as painting all Catholics with the same broad brush used by Bolling, he would be outraged.
Bolling has a history of anti-Islamic commentary and support for anti-Islamic commentary. In 2012, he provided validation, over the course of three days, for an anti-Islamic filmmaker. He agreed with the guest's description of Islam as a "radical, savage religion." In 2013 he smeared Democratic US Rep. Keith Ellison as a "dangerous" Muslim. In March of this year, he joined Andrea Tantaros anti-Islamic rant when he snarked about "more Muslim intolerance." (Meanwhile, the religious right is still railing about the evil "gay agenda!") In April, he joined in another anti-Islamic hatefest on The Five: "I'm going to pick up on something Greg said. It's really -- it's the intolerance of the Muslim religion. On one end of the tolerant spectrum, you have Christianity, Judaism. On the very opposite end of the spectrum, you have Muslim and maybe even some hateful groups." (Meanwhile, we have a "pro-life" group invading a UnitarianChurch!) A couple of weeks ago, he did it again.
On July 30th, the gang used Nancy Pelosi's comment on immigration, in which she referenced the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. Mr. Catholic Bolling, and the rest of the professional Fox Catholics on the panel totally ignored the substance of the Church's position on immigration to bash Pelosi, Pres. Obama, and undocumented immigrants. During the course of the conversation, Bolling defended right wing anti-immigration views: "That's the way you do it on the left. You just use a kid and say, if you're against the kids, you're evil. You're horrible." He spun the the Catholic position which is not in accordance with GOP dogma: "Regarding the Christianity part, Nancy Pelosi. We're taught to be Christian like in your personal being. Not everyone, not saying everyone has to be Christian." (But when it comes to the Pledge of Allegiance, if you don't like "under God" you need to get the f**k out of the country!)
And then he showed that his years of Catholic education, where he was "taught to be a Christian like in your personal being," were totally wasted. He said that "I mean, that would be like Islam. If you're not Islam, if you're not with us we're going to kill you. You're against us."
The majority of Muslims are peaceful people who aren't killing those who are not "with" them. ISIS is as representative of Islam as Joseph Kony was of Christianity. Seriously, what is with this stereotyping? Good thing all Catholics aren't as intolerant as Eric Bolling who gets to use a national "news" network to spread his ignorant bile which is just more Fox intolerance!
ISIS are pirates masked in faith. They are demanding money from captives, asking for donations, or selling people as slaves. If they succeed, they will establish the first pirate republic in the history of mankind.
Even Isis, for crying out loud, gives Christians and Jews the option of converting to Islam, whereas it just slaughters without mercy the non-Christian, non-Jewish Yazidis as irredeemable infidels.
The Catholic church leaders in New York have been bought and paid for by these cafeteria Catholic mouthpieces at this hideous “news” network.
No dime will ever support any of these churches until Dolan is ousted as its leader. He’s in bed with these clowns, including Nixon trainee Ailes.
NOTE TO BOLLING MAD
You, a devoted Catholic? That’s a stretch. You give the faith a bad name, you clown.
ISIS are a pirate group disguised in religion. Most of the time they are actually demanding money. The religious aspect gives them a sanctimonious platform for theft the same way Bush’s sanctimonious ‘freedom’ was about invading Iraq to get money for friends and family.
