The missing Malaysia Airlines flight is producing an abundance of coverage, not all of it lucid. While the so called liberal media has hosted some strange speculation regarding the disappearance of the plane, Fox News seems to have cornered the market on crazy talk with two appearances of retired Lt. General Thomas McInerney, unapologetic birther, and general all around whack job who proffered his bizarro world theories on what really happened. And what made it even crazier is that both Sean Hannity and Megyn Kelly took him seriously.
McInerney's conspiratorial delusions include the belief that President Obama was not born in the US and is, therefore, not fit to be commander-in-chief. And that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. He also is convinced that there are radical Islamists in the White House but he just doesn't have their names. He has taken his conspiracies to Fox News where he once informed Bill O'Reilly that the Iraq WMD's had been taken away by the Russians, Chinese, and French. He told Julie Banderas that all Muslim men, between the ages of 18 and 25 should be strip searched before boarding American planes. But that this guy lives in the Twilight Zone doesn't seem to be a problem for Fox who spoke to him twice this week about his, uh, unique perspective on Flight 370.
Wednesday night he spoke with Megyn Kelly who appeared to take him seriously. (I know - seriously?) Kelly started the ball rolling with a report not heard, as far as I know, on other networks; i.e. that a group of retired CIA guys have a source in Boeing which - ready for it - says that Boeing believes the jet is in Pakistan. McInerney said that he did the calculations on the plane's fuel capacity which would have allowed it to fly to Pakistan. (That proves it!) He accused the Malaysian government of "not coming clean." He claimed that Boeing and Rolls Royce know more than what they're saying.
Now one would assume that Kelly, being a lawyer and all, would have been more skeptical than seminary drop-out Hannity. But "truth detector" Kelly told McInerney that she knows that he is "very well connected in the Intel circles in this country and military, as well" and "has information, not all of which you can share." Okaaay.....
Last night McInerney appeared on the Hannity show where he talked about his super, secret squirrel sources whose identity he can't reveal because if he did, they'd have to kill him. Just kidding about that last part - but you get my drift. He asserted that - wait for it - the missing plane has landed in Pakistan. In addition to a lot of other bullshit, he claimed that Boeing and Rolls Royce know what's really going on because they are familiar with the plane's engine system. He also threw in a non-sequitor about "radical Islam."
But the pièce de résistance for the whole thing wasn't McInerney's crazy rant. It was Hannity's reaction that provides the ROFLMAO moment. Hannity said - wait for it - that McInerney is a "serious person" with a "compelling" case. Note that yesterday's coverage, on reality based media, was about the satellite photo which appears to show large objects floating in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Australia - a photo which prompted a sea search in that area which is ongoing. Neither Hannity nor McInerney mentioned that bit of news.
Cue the music from the "X Files." The truth is indeed out there and it isn't coming from Fox News.
As far as the Kenyan, the facts speak for themselves. The Hawaiian delegates NEVER, to this day, ratified Barry as Constitutionally eligible and the DNC sent different CON documents to different states.
But youd rather shoot at the message carrier.
YOu need to look at the FACTS!
Why don’t you go back to making refuse Art instead of wasting people’s time with psycho posts.
