Like her "America Live" predecessor, Megyn Kelly, Shannon Bream is the total package of blonde brains and beauty. And not only does she have a law degree but she finished fourth in the 1995 Miss USA Pageant and was in the top ten in the 1991 Miss America pageant which she participated in while a student at Liberty University. (Per their student rulebook no kissing or dancing but strutting yer stuff is just dandy!) We don't have any footage of the very Christian Bream in her Miss America bathing suit (the student rule book says that bathing suits are only for the beach); but we do have video of Ms. Bream sporting a lovely red bikini at the Miss USA pageant. And while she was showing off her assets, she also gave us a taste of her deep thinking which is a hallmark of her fair & balanced "America Live" presentation: "I'd like to think I'm the kind of person who has character, you can have money, fame, fortune, successes but without character, in the end you're really nothing." That's what she said!
While she certainly has money, fame, and fortune, her propaganda pushing at Fox News doesn't really speak well of her character, no?
Bream's performance is at about 3:50 into the video.
"Fair & Balanced"
I was a college professor in engineering (Yale, Duke, and U. of Va. degrees) and I can attest first hand to the HUGE left bias that has existed on our nation’s campuses for decades, especially in the liberal arts. No free and open debate on the issues there either, just as in the media. Our nation’s colleges are passing on the leftist dogma, squashing debate so that they do not have to rationally justify their viewpoints and producing good little left-Nazi dogma clones, no thought necessary. Immigration Debate – you do not agree with us – racist! No debate needed. You disagree with someone, say a politician, who just happens to be of differing ethnicity – racist! – it is irrelevant that you do not like his POLICIES and and have no feelings about him personally. Maybe we should have a quota system in out nation’s academic institutions to bring back some balance, letting go leftist profs and hiring more right of center. Anyone see the irony here? Maybe Hollywood needs such a quota system as well, and newsrooms other than Fox. Maybe THEN there WILL finally be fair debate on the issues. We can use OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY to pay for it (something the left is good at).
I was working that night, and hadn’t set up a tape like I usually did. I took one look at Miss Texas and flipped out, sensing history was about to be made. But how do I get a tape going? Husband was working and Mom was out as well. In desperation I called the wife of one of my husband’s co-workers and all but shouted over the phone, “Can you tape the Miss USA Pageant? There’s a Black Miss Texas, and I think she’s gonna win!” Understand, there’d never been a Black Miss Texas before, so this girl had to have kicked ass to get that far. At first I thought the woman I called would figure I was nuts, but she understood completely (both of us being of color). Needless to say, Texas won (and went on to win Miss Universe), and I got my tape.
I notice that Shannon was the only one who kept stepping on her scarf, or whatever that thing was. And yes, the irony of Bream losing to a Black woman is not lost on me.
Oh, that’s right- They’re not aimed at a woman deemed a liberal, like Fox Nation calling Nancy Pelosi a “face bag fitter.” Or calling Michelle Obama “First Wookie.” Or deeming Angelina Jolie “the humanitarian MILF slut.” Or dedicating whole threads to saying Snowden’s girlfriend is too ugly to be a pole dancer. Or responding to Beyonce by calling her “That ni**et with the fat legs at the Super Bowl.”
Yeah, that’s all perfectly acceptable.
But us pointing out Shannon Bream’s Miss America Hypocrisy? OMFG, that’s just crossing the line! I’m sure that when Fox News defended Limbaugh calling Sanda Fluke a slut, this was their line…
“We will never show a Fox News host saying that she thinks the character traits she displays now make you a horrible human being during her miss America interview!”
“Yeah, now look through the Victoria secret catalogue, we have a couple open positions!”
“Camera’s on, Brian.”
Gay or straight,
Love is great!
I guess I was wrong.
