If Bill O'Reilly actually thinks that his sage advice, proffered during his *daily "Tip of the Day" segment, has any credibility, he's even more narcissistic and delusional than he appears to be. If anything, it provides an amusing example of the discrepancy between what he preaches and what he practices such as his recent admonition about private hissy fits when, in reality, O'Reilly's modus operandi is to "vent" his anger on his guests. He gave us more comedic stylings and irony with another "Tip" which was about how if you stand up for what you believe in, in a rational way, it will pay off in the long run. Rational? Bill O'Reilly? Hahahahahahahahah!!!!
Last week, several days after the go punch a wall in private "Tip," Bill began his segment with a popular O'Reilly meme - Hollywood is full of evil liberals. He began by describing Hollywood as the ultimate "go along to get along" place. He whined that "conservative actors production people tell me that many liberal executive will not hire folks who are not left wing and you know what, I believe that." He opined that there is a lot of "nasty competition" in Hollywood and "to survive out here, many people go along to get along and that's why you have this liberal culture." He said while it's "understandable," he still believes that "the mark of an honest person is courage."
Pope Bill the Bloviator intoned "Stand up for what you believe in a rational way" because "in the long run it will pay off."
O'Reilly believes, I'm sure, that his lying, defamatory, campaign against Dr. Tiller was rational. And we saw how that "paid off." Oh, right, I forgot, Bill got a "Courage Award" from the "hate group," the Family Research Council. (During his acceptance speech he showed his "courage" by continuing to lie about Dr. Tiller). I also suspect that he believes that his high ratings are a result of his "rational" demonstration of the "courage" of his convictions when in reality it's all about lies and personal attacks. But I'll use his recent comment, made to somebody (with real expertise in the field) who disagreed with him and you can decide whether Bill follows his own advice:
"What do you think I was born yesterday, don't give me any of that, I know 10 times as much about this as you, I've seen it, I've been there. He accused her of being nuts and shouted about a crack addicted mother (not true) has no legal right to ingest cocaine into that baby's system. Period. And if you don't get that, there's something the matter with you."
Rational? Courageous? Honest? Ya think!
Wonder if Bill actually believes that his courageous and reasoned approach to journalism will earn him another Peabody, Polk, or Pulitzer Prize. Oh, right, he never won any of them! And that's because what he thinks is rationally standing up for something is just more Bill O'Reilly crock o'crap!
And BTW, Bill's one time nemesis and the source of much of Bill's irrationality was Senator Al Franken who did a comic character, based on media types who offer advice, "Stuart Smalley." (When Bill spoke about Franken he always referred to him as Stuart Smalley). Smalley did "Daily Affirmations" which ended with "I'm good enough, smart enough, and doggone it people like me." Is Bill O'Reilly channeling Stuart Smalley?
Have any of you viewers read ALL of the Bible? It’s got some scary, crazy things to say about … well … almost everything! That’s what I like about it! Scary shit I try out on my show every day!! And it’s all rational – Pope sez so, that’s why we love him. He’s a lovable rational Daddy. Man love … Ooooooops ..
But dare one of those Hollywood “pinheads” do or say something he doesn’t approve of, then watch out cause BOR will do his best to damage their career/reputation and go off on one of his rants about how evil Hollywood is. Or, if he doesn’t have any particular target in mind, he will just refer to them as “venal” (as he called some of them in his 2/25 ‘Tip of the Day’). Never mind BOR’s 2/28 ‘Tip of the Day’ when he chastised an emailer for being too “judgmental” of others (i.e. him). Hypocrisy, thy name is BOR.

Oh, like how FOX “news” won’t hire any actual liberals to host their own show(s) on your so-called “fair & balanced” network, BOR? LOL!
