Fox & Friends: Jason Mattera "Accosted" In "Confrontation" With "Hypocrite" Mayor Bloomberg's "Bullies"

Posted by Priscilla 0.20pc on January 29, 2013 · Flag

Jason Mattera, as reported by NewsHounds Ellen, is a James O'Keefe wannabe who has an unsavory history of homophobia and other assorted right wing nastiness including a CPAC speech in which smeared President Obama as a cocaine user. He recently tried to confront NY Mayor Bloomberg about his "hypocrisy" in advocating gun control while utilizing the services of an armed guard - the need for which was underscored by Mattera's histrionic attempt to get in the mayor's face. Mattera is upset that Bloomberg's security detail deftly moved him away from the mayor. So Fox News, as a mouthpiece for those who oppose gun control, embraced Mattera. Last night, his cause was taken up on Hannity. This morning's Fox & Friends showed their support for this "investigative journalist." Don't ya love the smell of right wing solidarity in the morning!

As the chyron proclaimed "Caught on Camera, Mattera Confronts Bloomberg on Gun Control," Gretchen Carlson introduced the video done by a young - ROFLMAO - "investigative reporter." (So I guess that's the phrase that Gretch will use if doing a piece on Michael Moore?)  She reported that Mattera wanted to know why he "will not have the right to defend himself but others can't or can." She urged viewer to watch the "confrontation." Before the video began, there was a visual of a police car flashing light with the words "Hypocrisy Alert."

As the video played, the Fox chyron read "Explosive Exchange, Mattera Accosted Over Gun Control Question."  While the argument can be made that the agitated Mattera was bullying Bloomberg, they chyron provided more support for Mattera: "Surrounded by Security, Bloomberg's Armed Bodyguards Bully Journalist." ROFLMAO - Jason Mattera is a "journalist?"

After Steve Doocy alluded to Mattera's soda, Carlson (on cue) "explained" that he was making fun of Mayor Bloomberg's ban on large sodas because he "thought that" (her eyes widened in incredulity) "sugar was not good and healthy."

So there you have it. In the Orwellian world of Fox News, "journalist" Mattera is another conservative victim of bullying by the hypocritical forces of intolerance. And sugary soda, a major contributor to obesity, isn't bad for your health. They say so on Fox & Friends - so that, as was said in Plan 9 from Outer Space, "proves it!"

And speaking of hypocrisy - Do ya think that if Michael Moore had done the same thing to Mayor Giuliani, the pals would have been as supportive?

In their desperate search for relevance, Fox is literally just flinging their hateful shit in all directions, trying to make ANYTHING stick to anyone who may have at anytime been on the same side of any issue as President Obama.
I really think they’re beginning to disgust even themselves. Obama’s victory has really crushed them. Unfortunately, not thoroughly enough…..yet.

this was in the comment section over at fox insider…

“renipo • an hour ago −
Bloomberg is just another two-faced, Communist, Marxist, Nazi controller in this Terrorist ruling America’s regime trying to take away Americans rights. They all should be arrested for terrorism against Americans. They should all be in Gitmo with the rest of the terrorists against America awaiting the firing squad. GOD BLESS AMERICA.”

please, some explain to me how a person can be a communist and a nazi at the same time?!? lol

bloombergs guards were showing great restraint towards this aggressive behavior. i’m sure most body guards would have had this clown on the ground and crying like a pussy within seconds. mattera should be thankful he was able to walk away unhurt.

And of course my post is totally redundant. I didn’t look two posts down the page to see that Ellen had already posted the same thing, in much better detail.

In the Hannity segment, at least one of the guests was able to point out that Mattera is not a reporter. She corrected Hannity on his characterization of Mattera and noted that he is infamous for trying these ambushes as a way to promote himself. When Hannity desperately tried to shout that down, she also noted that his demands were unreasonable. Hannity of course tried to use the false dilemma of whether a woman escaping an abusive husband should be able to have more than 7 shots, which completely avoids the point of the discussion.

If you watch the confrontation, you can see that Mattera is acting in a manner that would concern anyone in public security – he’s trying to physically move in on the Mayor and they have no way of knowing if he has a weapon or if he’s just as nutty as he appears. So they quickly moved him back without assaulting him. When he moved off with his camera, one of the security guys was tasked with figuring out who this idiot was and why he was doing this. Mattera termed this harassment. Any sane person would call it common sense.

This is equally as inane as Stephen Crowder’s moment of humiliation in Michigan. One has to wonder where these guys get the gall to keep behaving like this.
