Watching/listening to the non-stop drivel on Fox, I realise that Newshounds might actually be justified in denouncing “Vacuous offkilter” as potentially dangerous. All we’d have to do is not mention the part about his toy poodle and it’s a slam dunk scoop.

Megan also interviewed some reasonable people including a man who immediately rejected her brilliant idea of encouraging parents to pay for an armed guard at the schools. He was very firm in saying that the problem had to be addressed through upstream forms of prevention: more money for the schools, more money for mental health services, both to identify potential crazies and to treat them, more money for education, education and more education.
I wish only that he had said something about the need to make it harder for the crazies to get hold of firearms: more stringent background checks and a total ban on firearms that exist only to kill people, especially those assault weapons. I watched/listened to Megan for over an hour and she tried desperately to avoid saying that term and didn’t like it one bit when one of her guests did. Other measures would be obligatory training at a recognised shooting club and obligatory insurance for harm to others.
Those four measures would probably bring America’s homicide rate down to the level of a civilised country.

And I’m talking not only about other American sources but English, French and Italian media and news channels. Putting all the versions together makes it more likely that the truth will come out.

Ive already stated this but Ill do it again. Vicious Killer is the name of my minature poodle. The name is ironic, since he weighs 3 lbs and wouldnt or couldnt hurt anyone. But as usual, people focus on the insignificant instead of the issue. And during a tragedy like this you would think people would have better things to do than bash FOX.
