Got Hypocrisy? Steve Doocy & Peter Johnson Jr. Say President Wages "Class Warfare!!"

Posted by Priscilla -26.60pc on November 08, 2012 · Flag

The reelection of Barack Obama was less than 24 hours old; but that didn't stop Fox & Friends from trotting out their right wing talking points and baseless accusations against the president which were cleverly worked into a piece about American "coming together" - a concept made laughable by the ongoing attempts of Fox News to divide this country along racial, ethnic, religious, and economic lines while accusing those that they attack of being divisive. This was demonstrated on yesterday's Fox & Friends where Roger Ailes' personal attorney, litigator for the NY Archdiocese and Knight Of Malta Peter Johnson Jr. and Roger Ailes' "attack poodle" Steve Doocy did exactly that in yet another example of how Fox & Friends is "the morning happy-talk show that Ailes uses as one of his primary vehicles to inject his venom into the media bloodstream."

Johnson talked about how Pres. Obama has an "obligation to bring us together." He noted that those, like him, who don't share his views "need to give him the opportunity to lead." A very disconsolate looking Doocy framed the agitprop message for the piece.

"I get your point on family but keep in mind his camp relentlessly tried to divide America for 18 months and as people wake up we know that we have big problems, we know that we've got to do something about it. But still people are a little steamed at some of the tactics..."

Johnson said it was "more than the campaign, it was almost four years of division and class warfare. We need to hope and pray that the president understands that that policy is divisive and that policy is destructive to the future of the United States." After adding that "all of us need to pull together" he asked if the president can change. Doocy reinforced the right wing meme of Obama as radical leftist (where's my nationalized health care?) with the comment "let's hope that he surprises us with moderation."

The question again arises as to whether Steve Doocy is an idiot or if he just plays one on TV. While both campaigns used attack ads, it was Romney whose pants were on fire with his ad claiming that Obama had gutted welfare reform - an ad that played to the right wing belief that Obama wants to give free stuff (bogus "Obama Phones") to lazy, shiftless blacks. And while Johnson and Doocy claim that Obama is engaging in class warfare, they have either forgotten or chosen to ignore that video of Mitt Romney talking about the 47% of Americans who, because they're on some form of entitlement, are, according to Romney, irresponsible.

And in any discussion of class warfare, one has only to look to Fox News where Bill O'Reilly continues to vent his spleen about those on entitlements and he's not talking about corporations getting tax breaks. And in any discussion of division, we need look no further than Sean Hannity using the Trayvon Martin case to inflame racial tensions. If American is divided, it is thanks, in part, to Fox News which has mastered the art of using base bigotry to divide Americans and increase profits. There should be no question as to why Hispanics overwhelmingly supported Obama when one examines the xemophobic nature of Fox's coverage of immigration issues. Their coverage of the so called "Ground Zero Mosque" is a prime example of their attempt to cultivate anti-Muslim hatred which has earned them the designation as an echo chamber for Islamophobia in the Center for American Progress' report, "Fear Incorporated."

But yeah, Fox News says that President Obama is being divisive. Really?

Sorry for mistaking Margarita for Priscilla: had just read the first post and her name stuck in my head.

Great post Margarita. It captures perfectly the sneaky-slidey nature of what Fox News tries to pass off as information. The arithmetic says otherwise (for starters) because the ratio of only one DINO or Dem per 5 to 6 Republicans plus non-stop pandering by the hosts to the Republicans is not balanced. I don’t remember who said it but “keep em stupid” is an effective tool for dominance and America – once again – has rejected that.

There’s still an awful lot of work to do, however, because there’s no cure for the wilfully ignorant. My thanks to Newshounds and other blogs for everything they’ve done and will do.

And the answer is: yes.

And while Johnson and Doocy claim that Obama is engaging in class warfare, they have either forgotten or chosen to ignore that video of Mitt Romney talking about the 47% of Americans who, because they’re on some form of entitlement, are, according to Romney, irresponsible.

They also forgot about Mittens’ “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt” editorial — and his lies about Jeep moving jobs overseas {which he doubled down on, even after Jeep publicly called him out} . . .

Daddy Douchey said: “…but keep in mind his camp relentlessly tried to divide America for 18 months…”

Three Euphemisms for Penis said: “…it was almost four years of division and class warfare…”

The below link is the truth of the matter and both Douchey and Three Euphemisms for Penis were willing foot soldiers via their platform at FOX “news”.

These dopes don’t live in our world. They drift aimlessly through some alternate reality that grants them relevancy of some sort.
I just read about a Fox station in Oklahoma that gave directions to Canada and told people to leave quickly to avoid the rush.
Yeah, Canada will welcome these toothless, brainless bozos with open arms! I have a big car….and I’m will in help anyone that needs a ride!

On the Opinion of Anyone at Fox: After the embarrasment of their magical expectation that Romney would win the presidency, it is time that Fox talkers faced facts: Their opinions are too heavily weighted by their own fantasies and completely untouched by reality. I used to think that the smarter ones, at least, knew that they were full of B.S. But after watching Rove’s meltdown, I believe that they are all delusional.

The most biased name in news wants you to believe that every other network is biased, and you can trust them on that! In the same vein, the most divisive people in the country (who literally can’t compromise to save their own country from financial default) want you to know that divisiveness is all the other guy’s fault. However, the majority in this country don’t buy the Fox lies at all, and the country just proved it. Yes, even an almost endless supply of money can’t make us believe those lies. Congratulations America for being smarter than the Fox.

Normally their display of hypocrisy would get my blood pressure up. However today I choose instead to enjoy our victorious moment, and allow these phonies to lick their wounds.

Imagine (I know you don’t need to) what they would be saying if Mitt had won. I thank the gods that we don’t have to hear them for the next two and half months saying President-elect Romney.

Love the lingo “… almost a pardon for past sins… making us a weak weak superpower…” As David Frum said, Obama adopted many GOP positions but they had already settled on total obstruction.
