Don't Tell Gretchen Carlson - News Corps Subsidiary To Launch Spanish Language Network

Posted by Priscilla 0.20pc on July 25, 2012 · Flag

Back in October of 2011, Gretchen Carlson, a paragon of white, English speaking, GOP America, whined about how taxpayer money is being spent on translation services for non English speaking parents of children in Cleveland, OH public schools. She said that it is the responsibility of people who come here to learn to speak English, dammit.  Pero entonces, does she know that a subsidiary of her employer, News Corps, has partnered with a Colombian broadcaster to launch, in the fall, a Spanish language network ("Mundo Fox") here in the speak English only USA? Ay, Dios Mios!!!  (Wonder if Mundo Fox's morning show will be Fox Y Amigos?)

Title Correction - see below fold.

Correction: Our ever vigilant cyber stalker and possibly paid (he's not talking) Fox defender, Mark Koldys aka "Johnny Dollar" is all in a twitter about a mistake in my headline. Rather than politely inform us of the error, he did a, metaphorically speaking, page of  vomit on his website about it. OMG, the entity that's launching the Spanish network is not his beloved Fox News but rather, as I noted in the post, a subsidiary of News Corps which is partnering with a Colombian broadcast network. As noted in my source article in News Record.com, which referenced Bill O'Reilly, News Corps is Gretchen Carlson's employer so the point of the post is still valid. Interestingly, Mundo Fox is being advertised on the Fox entertainment channel. The slogan is "Americano como tu" which is rather ironic because the folks over on Fox News (Gretchen Carlson) don't seem to think that many American speakers of Spanish are American at all. But I made a mistake, mea culpa. Flog me with whatever Fr. Jonathan uses - oh, right, that's Opus Dei and Morris isn't, as far as we know, a member.

And BTW, while Mr. Dollar loves to say that mistakes, such as the one above, are "lies," he doesn't seem to have a problem with the volume of lies that emanate from Fox News. (Hey, Johnny did you contact Greg Gutfeld to tell him that Columbus Day didn't get banned in Sommerville MA?) He also didn't have a problem posting details about the sex life of one of our former writers, Headly Westerfield (fabulous blog here). As the saying goes, Mr. Dollar needs to "get a life?"

Mr. Dollar seems to love to post a photo of News Hounds Ellen. So if you're interested in what he looks like here's a still from a video of a 1988 Michigan GOP "rump" (as in ass?) convention during which "Johnny" spoke. (about 20 minutes in). He's got a Karl Rove kinda thing going on; albeit with more hair!

Note: My "multiple" (twice!) misspelling of the nation of Colombia has been corrected for the benefit of our resident spell checker. Also, I corrected Headly Westerfield's name (love you and miss you) and linked to his great blog.

That’s right, Mr Hughes…………………………

For someone who is so critical of spelling errors, you spelled Russia wrong, Mr. Lawless.

Dear Mr Hughes,

I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing problems- something we all have to suffer (much like spelling mistakes). To answer your question, I am no fan of Fox, nor am I a voting Republican; I am, however, a man who yearns for the days of real journalism and not the dumbed-down we receive today. Nobody (including Ellen) seems to have appreciated the irony of an article criticizing the ‘pro-English’ stance of a Fox anchor whilst misspelling (not a typo) the name of a Latin-American country. That, my friend, is deserved of mocking and although Ellen has accused me of being rude, there are a great many ‘ruder’ ways of saying ‘ill-educated’- perhaps she is ‘healthily-educated’ but she did not show it in her article. Lastly, as to the threatened banning by Ellen, may I remind her that this is not Rusha……… and we should be entitled to freely express our views without fear of censorship. Good Day all.

Mr. Lawless, spelling mistakes and dishonesty are two completely different things. I haven’t visited this site in months due to personal problems, so I wouldn’t know, but it seems to me that you are some kind of Fox fan, and just making these spelling mistakes out to be much worse than they are because you can’t find any fault with anything else in the article. Typical diversion tactic of the right wing, really.

Peter Lawless, everybody makes mistakes and typos. Priscilla corrected her mistake – and it was not a “gross error.” If you have a correction or a dissenting comment, fine. But your disrespectful and rude behavior is simply uncalled for. You will be banned the next time without any further warning.

Dishonest. Simple as that.

So, Priscilla, you edit but do not acknowledge your gross errors- Kinda like Foxnews, no?

+ it is NewsCorp not Corps- you are, quite apparently, ill-educated, Priscilla.

What is this pendejo Mark Koldys braying about?

That MundoFox is NOT directly owned by News Corp.?
Therefore, MundoFox cannot be connected to Fox News.
??!?

The point was to demonstrate the hypocrisy of News Corp.= Fox News = The Fox Hate Nation.

Much like the always popular bashing of China but those morons at Fox, and Koldys, never mention Rupert’s interests on the China TV market or how Rupert got his foothold through marrying “talent”

Further irony is how Rupert had to go all the way to Colombia to find a partner. He could not partner with Mexico’s Televisa or Grupo Azteca. Forget about Venevision and their own slogan “Como Tú” (Like you)"

Hey, those no-spekin inglish illeeeguls like their TV en Español por favor, but they spend muy serious Señor Dólar. Let’s demonize them and court them at the same time.

How can you expect to be taken seriously when you misspell ‘Colombia’ multiple times? I expect ignorance from Fox readers but here…….

On Mundo Fox, Latinos are amigos and amigas.
On Fux Noise, Latinos are a bunch of illegal aliens who should be rounded up and deported by Sheriff Joe.

You are correct Headly. Latinos are fully aware of this fraudulent “news” outlet, and don’t care for Nixon-trainee Roger Ailes. Latinos do not like being taken for granted, especially from these Fox “News” frauds.

We can’t wait to hear comments from Hate Nation about this new network. All racists comments from Hate Nation will be forward to all Latino organizations.

Surely this will make Retchin Gretchin soil her panties. I just hope she changes those soiled panties before she gives her viewers another free crotch shot thrill.
