Along with being a fan of loofahs and Caribbean showers, Bill O'Reilly is also an anti-abortion rights advocate who "fights for the rights of the unborn." As such, he has no qualms about using his show as a vehicle for promoting anti-choice positions such as supporting the de-funding of Planned Parenthood and the validation of Lila Rose's Planned Parenthood sting videos. His greatest "pro-life" achievement was his crusade against the assassinated abortion provider, Dr. George Tiller - a crusade that earned him a "Courage Award" from the hate group, Family Research Council. Recently, the actress Ashley Judd did an internet "Funny or Die" video that mocks Rick Santorum's decision to leave the presidential race by framing it in terms that juxtapose Santorum's candidacy to legislation, supported by Santorum, that puts onerous burdens on women seeking an abortion. Baby saving O'Reilly isn't happy about this. But rather than issuing an outright fatwah, mullah Bill metaphorically spanked her with caution about how this could ruin her career while noting that he wasn't out to hurt her. As if!
On last night's factor, Bill's began by saying that "the entertainment media will be a major factor in the upcoming campaign." (Meme alert - evil, librul Hollywood). He reported that "Funny or Die" has put out an "anti-Santorum" video starring Ashley Judd. He played part of the video in which Judd and several other actresses "council" Santorum in the manner in which women, subjected to new anti-choice laws, are. Unless one is familiar with the plethora of anti-choice legislation, it might be difficult to understand but Bill explained that "terminating a candidacy, terminating a candidacy, we get it." (Now all this fans realize that this is nasty, pro-choice stuff). He wanted to know if this is "a smart move." He then discussed this with two Hollywood reporters.
He asserted that abortion is "very emotional" (just ask any woman walking the gauntlet into Planned Parenthood) and that "people know it and remember who says what." (Right, Bill we do remember what you said about Dr. Tiller). He expressed skepticism about whether this was a "great career move" by Judd. Paul Bond, of the "Hollywood Reported" said that while Judd is political she's not as involved as Sean Penn and Jane Fonda. Bill claimed that the more than 50% of those who are pro-life (actually 51%) will note that Judd "mocked" Santorum (As opposed to Rush Limbaugh mocking, for three days, the "slut" Sandra Fluke?) and they won't forget it. Kim Serafin, of "In Touch Weekly" said that Judd is openly political. After Serafin noted that women sided with Judd over the controversy regarding Judd's look, O'Reilly made the fact free claim that Judd "has wiped it all out with this" and that this video has resulted in a loss of viewers of her show "Missing."
When Bond said that the viewership of the video was limited, Papa Bear proudly proclaimed that millions of viewers will now see it thanks to "The Factor's" airing it. (Hopefully, Judd won't receive pro-life death threats or worse!) He noted that she will be seen as an advocate (pot meet kettle) and that role might not be good for entertainers. He predicted that this will hurt her career. (He also predicted that Congress would de-fund Planned Parenthood and that didn't happen.) When Bond said that her career will be hurt more by the exposure that Bill is giving her, Bill said - wait for it - "I'm not in business to do that" (Really? Let's ask Dr. Tiller's family) but "it's an interesting story and we have to tell the story." He ended with another fact free assertion that George Clooney "learned this lesson big time after the 9-11 charity stuff. He changed his whole approach cuz he got hurt on that." (O'Reilly claimed that the money from Clooney's 9-11 telethon was misdirected. Clooney said that wasn't true. So lesson learned - not so much!)
Funny, the title of the Fox video (described as "offensive") is "Ashley Judd Attacks Rick Santorum's Policy Positions." I think it's really about Bill O'Reilly attacking Ashley Judd. And as usual, for a Bill O'Reilly hit, the substance of the issue (in this case, the restrictions on abortion) is neglected in favor of Bill's baseless predictions and pronouncements. But maybe it's good that the word go out about video as it reinforces the reality that there is a real war on women's reproductive choice.. And for all of you who stand for women's reproductive rights, here's the link. Get on yer Facebooks and Twitter and start spreading the word.
So Bill, be careful what you wish for!
This miserable hypocrite needs to be stopped,he has caused enough misery by his biased and thoughtless b.s.
Oh, and Michael: I’ve only seen the first Transformers, but his Cameo in Iron Man 2 was just him re-hashing the same sexist, slanderous rants he made trying to ruin Paltrow’s real life business ventures on his radio show.
If anyone besides O’Reilly and Paltrow realized that was what he did during filming, whoever allowed it is pretty sick in the head, because you could tell Paltrow was struggling to not let reliving that hurt her.
Btw, with regards to BOR calling Robert Reich a commie – did anyone see Reich call BOR out last night on Big Eddie’s show? We’ll see how BOR handles it. LOL!
