Rick Perry The Destroyer? Says He Plans To “Take A Wrecking Ball To Washington”

Reported by Ellen - November 3, 2011 -

Rick Perry repeatedly declared last night in his interview with Sean Hannity that he plans to “take a wrecking ball to Washington.” At times he qualified it by saying he planned to use the wrecking ball on the tax structure and regulations. But let’s not forget that this is the same guy who talked up seceding from the union. And he’s the same guy who is proud of having executed 234 people as Governor of Texas. Is this what America really wants in a president?

In the first video, Perry said at 1:50, that Americans are looking for “somebody that’ll take a wrecking ball to Washington, D.C.”

In the second video, Perry boasted at 3:53, “I’m going to take a wrecking ball to Washington when it comes to those tax issues, when it comes to those regulations and Americans are gonna be the winners.’

In the third video below (I lost the time marker), Perry said, “Americans want to see a consistent fiscal conservative that will stand up, say to Washington, D.C., ‘Get ready. I’m coming. And I’m bringing the wrecking ball.’”

Of course, lapdog Sean Hannity didn’t question why someone who has exhibited such contempt for our federal government wants to be president. He didn't even ask for details on the kind of destruction Perry wanted to wreak.

Are Americans really looking for a wrecking ball? I report, you decide!
