Fox Nation Suddenly Concerned About Violent Rhetoric - In Order To Attack Democrats Debbie Wasserman Schultz And James Hoffa

Reported by Ellen - September 6, 2011 -

Media Matters and DailyKos have already pointed out the disingenuousness of Fox News' hissy fit over teamster James Hoffa saying, "Everybody here's got to vote. If we go back and keep the eye on the prize, let's take these son of a bitches out and give America back to America where we belong! Thank you very much!" As the two sites noted, Fox edited out the part where Hoffa made it clear he was talking about voting so that the clip just happened to look more menacing. It should be laughable for Fox News to concern itself over this comment when just a few weeks ago, Fox defended Rick Perry after he made thinly-veiled, more overt threats aimed directly at Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke. But that's the kind of partisan hypocrisy Fox engages in every day while the so-called "liberal" media obsesses over whether Casey Anthony is held accountable. But Fox Nation is the site where assassination, murder and lynching are openly discussed - in plain, unmistakeable terms - on a regular basis. If that site really cared about violent rhetoric, it should clean its own house first. Examples after the jump.

We long ago dubbed Fox Nation the "go-to website" for people who hope President Obama gets assassinated. We found such comments as:

The Koran ain't thick enough to stop a .308 round...be careful what you hide behind

We reported that one to the Secret Service.

But it's not just President Obama's death the readers long for. The site supposedly devoted to "civility" and "tolerance" thought the black London rioters should be shot, too.

And as recently as this past weekend, readers were talking openly about "taking up arms" agains the "NY Slimes" and "executing" those who passed "Obumercare."

But when DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared on Fox & Friends this morning, Fox Nation ran the indignant headline: HEATED DEBATE! DNC Refuses to Condemn Hoffa Hate on 'Fox & Friends.'
