Palin “So Proud” Of Gingrich For Attacking Her Fox News Colleagues, Bret Baier And Chris Wallace

Reported by Ellen - August 12, 2011 -

Now that Sarah Palin has suddenly revived her bus tour just in time to crash the Republican presidential campaign in Iowa, she got a perch on the Hannity show tonight from which to offer her “insights” and look important. So how did she repay the favor to Fox? By cheering on Newt Gingrich’s attacks on her own Fox News colleagues, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier, who had served as the GOP debate moderators of the night before.

As I previously posted, Sean Hannity immediately leaped to Gingrich’s side after the debate last night over the “double standard” supposedly shown by Fox News’ Chris Wallace. Wallace's sin had been to ask Gingrich during the debate about problems plaguing his campaign.

At about 3:15 in the video of the Palin interview below, Hannity brought up the debate (which Palin, who claims she’s still mulling over a run for president, ducked) and asked for her thoughts.

Palin said, “I was thankful that some folks finally took off some gloves last night in the debate… Now last night, we finally saw some folks calling it like they saw it – like Newt Gingrich. I was so proud of him last night. And he called the press out. He called the media out for taking on the press focusing, unfortunately, too often on superficial issues.”

Classy!
