Laura Ingraham Blames TSA Worker For Cross Bling Heist

Reported by Priscilla - July 21, 2011 -

As we know from her numerous appearances on Fox News, Laura Ingraham loves to wear her devout Catholicism in the form of a great, big gold cross prominently displayed around her neck. But it looks like girlfriend will have to get some new religious bling because she's claiming that this cross, along with some other jewelry all together worth $11,000, was taken from her luggage at Newark Airport. According to the Murdoch owned NY Post, Ingraham claims that she had packed the items, which included a Judith Ripka-designed $950 yellow gold necklace and an $1800 triple-strand, yellow-gold necklace by Italian designer Marco Bicego, in her luggage; but when she opened her bag in Denver, the jewelry was gone. Lest you think that Laura was having breakfast at Tiffany's, everything, except the cross, was loaned to her by a neighbor so that Laura could look good during her book ("Of Thee I Zing") promotion tour. (God didn't make no junk?). Anyway, Laura is spitting rosary beads about this and is blaming "criminal" Newark TSA workers. She also told her pal Tucker Carlson's "Daily Caller" that the folks from Continental and the TSA gave her a hard time when she reported this. And as I suspected, that old rugged cross, purchased when she was baptized a Catholic, was major, holy bling. Not only is it from the Vatican and blessed by the Pope; it's 22 Karat gold worth $2,000. Perhaps this cold be a "teachable moment" for Laura regarding ostentatious adornment. As Jesus said, "And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6: 28-33.

Just a thought. I never take expensive jewelry on trips. I did purchase, however, some pricey gold things in Cairo. What I didn't wear, I had in my carry-on. Lots of things can happen to checked luggage. Lufthansa once sent my luggage from Berlin to Khartoum and finally to my house. Just saying...
