Frank Luntz Peeved When His Focus Group Doesn't Give The Answer He Wants

Reported by Ellen - July 14, 2011 -

Frank Luntz was back on Hannity with another hilarious focus group segment. It was clear from many of his questions, alone, that Luntz was trying to float/promote GOP memes, including a GOP vote to raise the debt ceiling and get "significant budget cuts."

Frank Luntz was back on Hannity with another dubious focus group segment. It seemed from many of his questions, alone, that Luntz was trying to float/promote GOP memes, including a GOP vote to raise the debt ceiling and get "significant budget cuts." But when his group didn't go along with him, Luntz got a tad testy and judgmental. Isn't it a moderator's job to elicit responses, not promote and/or judge them?

Luntz is usually more of a moderate, as opposed to a Tea Party Republican. So when he "asked" the following question it looked to me like this was a strategy he approved of. "If the Republicans vote to raise the debt ceiling and they still get significant budget cuts but they cast the vote to raise the debt ceiling, would anyone in this room vote against them as a protest?"

Unfortunately for Luntz, many in his focus group didn't see it his way. He sputtered, "Oh, come on. Seriously?"
