Megyn Kelly Spins DOJ’s New Black Panther Party Development To Give It New Life It Doesn’t Deserve

Reported by Ellen - April 2, 2011 -

Once again Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly – whose 1-3 PM ET show airs during what Fox claims is its “objective news” programming – demonstrated that she is more interested in making Attorney General Eric Holder look bad than she is in any of the actual details of the Justice Department’s decision not to prosecute some members of the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation. After spending weeks last summer suggesting that Holder’s bias for African Americans meant black thugs would be intimidating white people with impunity all across the country last Election Day, it somehow took her two days to get around to reporting that an investigation from the DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility found the GOP-driven allegations unfounded. Even then, she framed it within the context of new Republican insinuations of wrongdoing. I’m sure that framing had nothing to do with the fact that, as Main Justice reported the day after the OPR’s findings were made public, the conservative Judicial Watch group is planning a “frontal assault” on Holder.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Video below via Media Matters, which also noted that Kelly gave less time to the OPR than she did to a dust up between the “Barefoot Contessa” and a Make-a-Wish child.

But I guarantee that once Judicial Watch gets into gear, Kelly will have all the time in the world for more attacks on Holder.
