Bill O'Reilly's Pit Bull, Jesse T Watters, Gets Bulldogged
Reported by Priscilla - February 15, 2011 -
If Bill O'Reilly doesn't approve of you, as pointed out by Lawrence O'Donnell on last night's MSNBC's "The Last Word," he will "go after you" - or, as O'Reilly sees it, "hold people accountable." But, as O'Donnell also pointed out, O'Reilly doesn't have the cojones to directly confront those who do not subscribe to Bill's orthodoxy; so he send out his big dawg, Jesse T Watters, to stalk and harass those who defy the right wing's big pimping Fox News daddy - including a woman who was on vacation. But in Bill's mind, the (insert plural word for female dog) dissed him and she deserved to be faced with the spittle and drool of Bill's personal worst in show. Last week, at CPAC, Bill's "ambush" bulldog (not on vacation) got a taste of his own medicine. Lawrence O'Donnell played the tape and interviewed Ben Armbruster, from Think Progress, who asked Watters about the Fox "insider" who said that Fox makes stuff up. It's fun to see the ever smug and smarmy Watters avoid answering the question and walking off with his tail between his legs. As Armbruster noted, Watters response was "emblematic of what Fox News does in general. They divert substantive issues and belittle and put down their perceived opponents to divert attention from the real issue." In other words, big dawg Watters has all bark and no bite?
