Fox Nation Readers Like The Idea Of Assassinating Roseanne Barr

Reported by Ellen - January 8, 2011 -

Fox Nation states that it is "committed to the core principles of tolerance, open debate, (and) civil discourse... It is for those opposed to intolerance, excessive government control of our lives, and attempts to monopolize opinion or suppress freedom of thought, expression, and worship." But once again, we have found that freedom of thought and expression is only reserved for some people on the "fair and balanced" website. After Roseanne Barr slammed Sarah Palin and Ronald Reagan, Fox Nation described Barr as a "failed comic" and allowed comments discussing slapping her "silly" and shooting her. Just as bad, several Fox Nation readers "liked" the thought. (H/T James W.)

Screen grabs from today, at 9:50 ET, three days after they were posted. That gave the Fox Nation moderators plenty of time to review and remove the comments if they saw fit.
