Wallace Asks Easton About Romney’s 2012 Prospects Without Revealing Her Connections To Him

On Fox News Sunday last weekend (12/26/10), as part of a discussion about the Republican field in the 2012 presidential campaign, host Chris Wallace asked Nina Easton about Mitt Romney’s prospects. At first, Easton did not give a ringing endorsement as she described Romney as having “baggage,” meaning he’d be dragged down by his role in creating the Massachusetts health care law that’s similar to the one Obama recently enacted. She also said that all the other major candidates had baggage. But later, in the Panel Plus segment, Easton said that Romney "looks like a president." Still, somebody should have revealed Easton’s professional connections to Romney.

As FAIR reported last March, Easton offered “writer’s advice” to Romney on his recent book. Also, her husband served as a media consultant for Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign.

So much for “we report, you decide.” Again.
