Republican Spokesman Can’t Offer A Single Solution To Looming Medicare Cuts

America Live hosted a discussion yesterday (11/1510) about looming cuts in Medicare payments to doctors – 23% by December 1st – which, according to substitute host Shannon Bream, could lead doctors to “start dropping patients” unless Congress comes up with a consensus on how to stave them off. Republican guest Brad Blakeman launched immediately into an attack on Democrats. So the other guest, Democrat Dick Harpootlian, challenged him for a Republican solution. Blakeman sputtered and attacked harder but never came up with any solutions.
Harpootlian asked, "Is Rand Paul gonna want to increase taxes? Is Rand Paul gonna throw these old people out into the street? What is the Republican solution to this problem?”
Blakeman tied himself up in knots for the rest of the segment trying to avoid having to answer. It was bad enough that Bream never asked him that obvious question but it was even worse that once Harpootlian had, she did not press Blakeman to answer.
If only more Democrats on Fox would go on offense this way!
