Not Again! AZ Sheriff Babeau Complains About Border Security On "America's Newsroom"

Reported by Priscilla - November 15, 2010 -

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio used to be the Fox "News" poster law enforcement guy for complaints about illegal immigration. But it seems that there's a new sheriff in Foxtown and his name is Paul Babeau. No discussion of illegal immigration would be complete without his perfunctory whine about how the Obama administration just isn't doing enough to control the border. Now you'd expect that on the Fox "opinion" programs where he was seen, on an October "Fox & Friends," during which he kvetched about the National Guard troops not being deployed to the border fast enough. But Babeau's bitchfest has made its way over to the "news" side of Fox where he has appeared a bunch of times. This morning, the allegedly "fair & balanced" "news" show, "America's Newsroom" featured a video about the National Guard troops on the Arizona border. And surprise, surprise, at the end of the video, there was Sheriff Paul Babeau claiming that more troops are needed because the border is still not secure, yadda, yadda, yadda. But if Fox "News" were "fair & balanced," they might have quoted Pima County Sheriff who, before the troops arrived, said that "the border is more secure now that it's ever been." Nah, there's a narrative here that needs supporting and Sheriff Babeau has been deputized, by Fox, to support it!
