Fox News In A Snit Palin's Newsweek Photo Was Not Retouched
Reported by Ellen - October 10, 2010 -
Megyn Kelly and Fox News contributor Andrea Tantaros were in a snit over a Newsweek cover story about Sarah Palin – not because of its very critical content but because the cover photo of Sarah Palin had not been retouched to get rid of blemishes, facial hair, etc. UPDATED
It's bad enough that Palin already has almost an entire cable news network serving as a punditry PR firm for her but now they are whining that the rest of the media is not as “fair.” Sadly, the woefully inept Democratic “strategist,” Julia Piscitelli, missed the irony of a news network complaining that a news magazine had not faked the news, so to speak. It also seems not to have occurred to Piscitelli that the discussion was a convenient-to-Palin way of “working the ref” at the same time that it served to distract from the body of a very critical article about Palin's substance. Piscitelli also failed to challenge Kelly and Tantaros to explain their standards for retouching photos since Fox News seems to have a penchant and history for doing it as a way to make conservatives look good or liberals look bad. UPDATE: According to the dedicated-to-discrediting News Hounds Johnny Dollar, this video aired two years ago, not last week, as I originally posted. I apologize for the error. Of course, Dollar's hyperventilating paroxyms of pettiness and nit-picking are a convenient way to avoid defending Fox News on the substance of their broadcasts or disproving accusations of bias. Funny, how he didn't go there.
